On April 22-25, the USA BMX Carolina Nationals brought 1,269 riders from 37 states and 17 countries to Rock Hill. USA BMX recognized the event as being “the largest BMX event ever held east of the Mississippi River.” The City hopes to host this event again next year.

A partnership with RHEDC and Scannel has led to the development of a new business park— Legacy Park West. Currently undergoing site development, the park will be 94 acres with 4 building sites.

The Rock Hill Parks Foundation received a grant from the York County Community Foundation to provide professional development workshops for elementary teachers in the Rock Hill School District. City staff will host workshops that encourage teachers to take students outside for science instruction.
