Hold a bike fair for families strategic goal
Comparing usage to May 2015, city parks saw an increase of 13.4% with 144,563 users. However, recreation centers saw a drop of 18.7% in usage compared to last year (17,044).
Two family bike rides were held in May that attracted 50 riders from between ages 3 to 84. These rides promote cycling, rules of the road, group riding safety tips and etiquette, and encourage active living choices.

A partnership with RHEDC and Scannel has led to the development of a new business park—Legacy Park West. Gr ading has started on the park which will be 94 acres with 4 building sites.
Goal: Provide for a coordinated transportation system that supports the City’s growth goals As of the end of May, 15 of 37 road segments have been repaved. Most recently completed are Capstone Court, Colby Avenue, and Tarleton Court. Staff have also recently rebuilt Laurel Creek where the roadway had natural groundwater issues.
