Bus Trip to The Huntington Library
A private, nonprofit institution, The Huntington was founded in 1919 by Henry E. Huntington. During his lifetime, he amassed the core of one of the finest research libraries in the world, established a splendid art collection, and created an array of botanical gardens with plants from a geographic range spanning the globe. We will be taking an easy outdoor one-hour walking tour that covers the central area of the estate including the world renowned galleries and gardens. Visitors will learn how Henry and Arabella Huntington turned their San Marino Ranch into a world famous cultural landmark.
"Decades - The Vinyl Years, A Musical Revue”
Remember when vinyl records were the standard of sound we listened to? 1945-1985 were called the "vinyl years." Experience the music, the clothes and the culture that shaped our lives. From the end of World War II, into the innocence of the 50's, through the turbulent 60's, passing through the "far out" 70's and touching the rise of a new type of record in the 80's (the CD). A march through time and music that will stir memories and bring a smile to everyone's face.
