When The City of Shoreline incorporated in 1995 Richmond Highlands Recreation Center was already a hub for Teen Programs in North Seattle. Breakdancing programs and competitions were a huge draw for the space. In the last 27 years, the building has transitioned from a log cabin with elementary school bathrooms to an ADA accessible space with amenities that allow our programs to thrive and the community to have a space to meet for functions. The Youth and Teen Program still calls RHRC home and has really focused on youth development and community need and continued to be a leader in youth focused programs and services. In addition, the building has become a base to The City of Shoreline’s successful Specialized Recreation programs and is very highly regarded in the community. THE REC IS BACK!
