INTRODUCING OUR 100+ CLUB! RUBY BUFFALO Ms. Ruby Buffalo was born on July 3, 1918 and has been a Southlake resident for over 19 years. She and her late husband began coming to the SSAC almost 10 years ago. Ruby is an active member of White's Chapel Church. She loves exercising and gardening, and she takes pride in taking care of her house all by herself. Her only daughter, Joan, and son-in-law, Gerald Daniel, are always there to provide any support and help she needs. She has three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren! Ms. Ruby is a beautiful lady inside and out; she is an inspiration to all with her great outlook on life, and her beautiful smile lights up the room. Let's not forget she’s also one sharp dresser!

MILLIE STUCK Millie Stuck was born April 8, 1915, on a farm in Mills County, Texas. She graduated from Goldthwaite High School in 1933 and married Bill Stuck in Kerrville on June 4,1939. The couple moved to Fort Worth in 1944 after a failed crop on their farm. Both went to work during World War II for what is now Lockheed Martin, building the experimental B-36 Peacemaker bomber aircraft. When the war came to an end, Millie went to work as a dental assistant, spending the next 35 years working with the same dentist in Fort Worth, Texas. Millie moved to Colleyville 14 years ago and continues to be very active in the community, volunteering and attending activities with the SSAC and White’s Chapel UMC. She has two children, three grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren.

MARTHA WOOD Martha (Watson) Wood was born February 13, 1915, in Humboldt, Tennessee. She was raised in Columbus, Mississippi with her sister, Clarissa. Martha took business courses in college before entering into her main occupation as a stenographer. Martha married Joseph L. Wood in 1938, and the couple lived in Greenville, Mississippi with their adopted daughter, Julie Ann. Joseph passed away in 1978, and Julie Ann lived until 2003. Martha’s grandson, John, lives in Farmington, Arkansas. Martha moved to Southlake in July 1993 and has been part of the SSAC’s Party Bridge group for many years. She lives in a little house on her nephew’s property and enjoys playing the piano, reading and cooking. She likes Italian food and loves sweets, especially chocolate. Martha’s life philosophy is beautiful in its simplicity: she believes in living a Christian life with unselfish love and care for others.
