The first year of the Community Garden at Lowell Street has been a success! Most of the available slots were snapped up once the garden was given the go ahead.

on the third Saturday of October for fall tilling. Gardeners will clean up their plots, removing stakes and fences. There are two new compost bins on site that were created and donated by volunteers at Cummins Emission Solutions. These bins can be rotated to improve the composting ability.

 The first youth basketball registration deadline is October 15th. Please check to see when the different deadlines are.

 Adult basketball and volleyball league information is now posted on our website.

Coed Softball Season Recap The Coed Softball League season is finished for the year. The wet weather caused multiple game postponements, but that didn’t stop the teams from having fun when they played. Pack ’R’ Place (top right) won the regular season title and Rev. Jim’s/ Haese Ortho (bottom right) won the tournament title.

Of the Month Staff Person Pili Hougan Pili Hougan works in City Hall as the Deputy City Clerk. Recently she has been successfully acting as the City Clerk as that position is vacant. Pili has always been a friend of the Rec Dept.
