Owl Prowls

Dates: Saturdays, October 9 and November 6 Time: 9:00 - 10:00 PM Ages: All (children welcome with accompanying adult) Cost: $5 Location: Sleepy Hole Park, Lone Star Lakes Park Join us as we learn and explore these fascinating birds that hunt during the night. We will take a leisurely hike through the Park in search of these feathery friends.

Lone Star Lakes Camp Out

Dates: October 2 - 3 Time: 2:00 PM - 11:00 AM Ages: 18+ (children welcome with accompanying adult) Cost: $65 Location: Lone Star Lakes Park Want to discover Lone Star Lakes after dark? Spend a night beneath the stars with Suffolk Parks & Recreation for our first community campout! Lone Star Lakes Park is a beautiful, secluded Park located in Suffolk, VA. We will create the space, just bring your tent/camping gear. This campout will include a guided paddle tour, nature hike, hot dogs, chips, and s’mores! Light refreshments will be provided in the morning. This is an outdoor experience you would not want to miss! Every camper must register. Limited spots available.

Sunset to Moonrise Paddle

Date: October 22 Time: 6:00 – 8:30 PM Ages: 18+ Cost: $15 if you bring your own canoe or kayak and PFD; $25 per single kayak rental, and $35 per tandem kayak rental/canoe rental, which includes kayak, PFD, and paddle. Location: TBA Join Suffolk Parks & Recreation for a guided Sunset to Moonrise kayaking tour at one of our local Parks.
