p
FROM THE DIRECTOR
G
reetings from Suffolk Parks & Recreation. I am excited to be back in Suffolk. I left the City of Suffolk in 2008, and I was humbled to return in November of 2018 after being hired as the Director of Suffolk Parks and Recreation. I have had the opportunity to visit many of my favorite parks and facilities and many new park amenities and facilities that were constructed in my absence. I am rediscovering the wonderful parks and recreation centers that the City of Suffolk has to offer. I encourage the readers of this guide to take the opportunity to explore Suffolk’s network of parks and recreation centers. Perhaps you will rediscover some of your favorite green spaces like me or perhaps you will find a new park or trial that you were not aware of previously. Whichever is the case, I guarantee you will not be disappointed. Suffolk Parks & Recreation has some of the best parks, recreation centers, and programs in the state of Virginia. Mark Furlo, CPRE Director Suffolk Parks & Recreation
