[VIRTUAL/LIVE + KIT] Date: Mondays, January 11 & 25, February 8 & 22, March 8 & 22, April 12 & 26 Time: 6:00 - 7:00 PM Ages: 16+ Cost: Free Location: SPL YouTube & Facebook Registration required. Get Creative this winter with our fun and varied art tutorials! Grab your Virtual2Go Packs and join us each month to explore different types of arts and crafts. Check the calendar to see which art or craft we will be doing each session. Program supplies will be available for pickup at the chosen location prior to the program air date.

English as a Second Language Morning Mixers [LIVE] Date: Thursdays, January 6 - 28 Time: 10:00 - 11:00 AM Ages: 18+ Cost: Free Location: SPL Online Improve your language skills with the Library! Join us for virtual English as a Second Language lessons and games in a fun and welcoming environment. Interested participants must register through a Zoom link in order to receive an emailed link to join the class meeting. ¡Mejora tu inglés en el parque​con la Suffolk Public Library! Suffolk Writes is an open writers group for adults. All genres welcomed, publishing and aspiring. Bring a piece of original work to share for group critiques. Registrants will receive an e-mail prior to start time with the live meetup link.

Pub Trivia at Home [LIVE] Date: Thursday February 18 Time: 7:00 - 8:00 PM Ages: 18+ Cost: Free Location: SPL Online Registration required. Test your knowledge at our themed trivia nights! We open the Zoom room at 6:30pm for socializing; game starts at 7pm. Winner receives a $10 Amazon gift certificate; runner up gets $5! Content may not be appropriate for children. Registrants will receive an e-mail prior to start time with the live meetup link.

An Evening with Earl Swift [IN-PERSON] Date: Thursday, March 25 Time: 7:00 - 9:00 PM Ages: 18+ Cost: Free Location: Suffolk Center for Cultural Arts at 110 W. Finney Avenue Author and former journalist for the Virginian-Pilot, Earl Swift, will speak on his award-winning book Chesapeake Requiem: A Year with the Watermen of Vanishing Tangier Island. The presentation will be followed by a Q&A with the audience and book signing. The talk is free to attend and no ticket is required. This event is part of the 125th Anniversary of the Suffolk Literary Club celebration raising awareness of environmental impacts on coastal communities and encouraging appreciation for the natural environment of the Chesapeake Bay.
