The Suffolk Office on Youth was started in 2006 to oversee several prevention and outreach programs to assist youth and families in improving their overall quality of life. Through programs, resources, and partnerships, we look to add a positive, nurturing, and healthy community for every child in Suffolk. Girl, Fix Your Crown!

Date: September 18 Time: 6:00 PM Cost: Free Ages: 5-12 Location: Zoom Calling all Princesses! Let’s talk self-esteem, positivity, and friendship. A craft pack will be provided to create your own crown. Registration required by August 31.

So You Graduated... Now What?

Date: October 16 Time: 6:00 PM Cost: Free Teens, join us for a day of financial literacy! Participants will learn from experts on credit, budgeting and life skills. Registration is required by October 9, 2020.

College Information Workshop

Date: November 6 Time: 6:00 PM Cost: Free Join us for a workshop dedicated to helping you get your child ready for college. Registration is required by October 30.

Winter Wonderland Craft

Date: December 4 Time: 6:00 PM Cost: Free Ages:5-12 Join us for a winter-themed craft. Craft pack will be provided. Registration is required by November 20. All of our Therapeutic Recreation Programs are going VIRTUAL for Fall 2020! Therapeutic Recreation (TR) is a treatment service designed to meet the needs of individuals with various disabilities and facilitate the development of leisure and recreation skills, socialization, independence, and overall quality of life. The goal of TR is to promote health and wellness through recreation, while reducing restrictions of participation in life situations caused by illness or disabling conditions.

Creative Minds

Date: Third Wednesday in September, November, December Time: 5:00 - 5:45 PM Cost: Free Location: Zoom Showcase your creative skills as we take on a number of different projects. Participants can expect to create art like never before, as we use a variety of different materials to create masterpieces.

Taste Buds

Date: October 13 and October 20 Time: 5:00 - 6:15 PM Cost: $20 Location: Zoom We will be creating kid friendly dishes from the comfort of our home. This course will encourage independent living, social, safety, and vocational skills.
