ANDREW'S ANNOUNCEMENTS
A MESSAGE FROM THE CITY MANAGER
Hello Vallejo,
I’d like to thank the NAACP Vallejo Branch and its partners for hosting a wonderful Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. march and program, as well as thank the many community members, Council Members, and regional and State elected officials that attended. It was a pleasure spending the day together honoring Dr. King and discussing how to continue working to achieve his vision for freedom and equality.
Last Tuesday, the City Council held a special session with City staff to discuss the many services provided by City departments. This was part of a multi-step process of gearing up for City Council goal setting that will take place within the next couple of months and the fiscal year (FY) 2025-26 budget development process.
In this edition of the Vallejo Weekly, you’ll find information on a community meeting that will take place next week with the Vallejo Police Department evaluator to discuss how to continue to build community relations
and advance the reforms the department is implementing. You’ll also find details on the Winged Migration Expo that’s sure to provide a lot of family fun in Vallejo at the end of this month and next weekend.
Congratulations to a Vallejo legend, CC Sabathia, for being elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame! The City of Vallejo is working on a special recognition for the Hall of Famer which we will unveil in the near future.
Play Ball!
