Soroptimist WineMakers
Dinner & Auction
SATURDAY, MAY 20, 2023 - 6 TO 9 PM
Soroptimist International of Vallejo, (SIOV) is proud to announce that 2023 marks our 84th year of service to the Vallejo community, where dreams come true. The mission of the SIOV club is to give women and girls the opportunity to reach their full potential and live their dreams… no matter what their past includes or their financial restrictions may be. In order to support this mission, Soroptimist International of Vallejo invites you to join us as a sponsor and an attendee as we host our signature Winemakers Dinner “A Night Under the Stars in Vallejo - Where Dreams Come True” on Saturday, May 20, 2023 from 6 pm - 9 pm.
We are excited to feature an elegant five-course dinner paired with selected wines from Sentivo Vineyards & Winery, owned and operated by Helen Pierson and family, local business owners of Medic Ambulance Service.
Dinner tickets are $120 per person and are limited to 150 tickets.
RSVP is required. It’s guaranteed to be an amazing evening with wonderful food, wine and company, all while raising money for a lifechanging cause.
For the past two pandemic years, our club has hosted our Wine Makers Dinner virtually. If not for our generous donors who support our mission, we could not have distributed over $80,000 in awards to women and girls in our community over those past two years. Our goal this year is to surpass the last two years, and raise over $80,000 to be given back in scholarships and awards in the coming year. With your help, we can make it happen! Because “Under the Stars in Vallejo, Dreams Come True.”

Save the Date: Spring 2023 Dignity Day
APRIL 8, 2023 FROM 10AM TO 2PM
2166 SACRAMENTO ST. VALLEJO, CA
The Solano Dream Center will be hosting its bi-annual Dignity Day on April 8, 2023. The event is targeted to provide resources to people who are unhoused or in transitional housing. The first event was hosted in March 2021, which began as an opportunity to feed the homeless. Over the past two years the event has evolved to include more services and resources.
On April 8 guests will be able to get FREE on a first come first served basis. :
• mobile showers
• haircuts
• hot lunch
• clothes
• sleeping bags
• tents
• and shoes
Additionally, the Solano Dream Center has connected with community organizations to provide free health checks, spiritual care, social services, mental health service and housing navigation.
In the Fall 2022, the Solano Dream Center hosted approximately 80 people who are unhoused and about 20 people who are living at Transformation Village, the shelter previously known as Christian Help Center. This year they expect to see a similar or larger number. Dr. Hester who is the lead organizer is looking forward to providing folks with essential needs and to strengthen and build new relationships with unhoused neighbors. Dignity Day brings many essential resources into one location.
Vallejo residents have consistently voted to use Participatory Budget dollars to help unhoused neighbors and Dignity Day is one of the ways that dollars have directly reached people. The clothing, food, sleeping bags and tents that will be handed out on April 8 have been purchased using Participatory Budget dollars.
TRANSPORTATION: People who are interested in attending but need transportation support can reach out to 707435-3995.
