This year, it’s not just about eating, drinking, and watching the sky, but they’ll also be featuring The Project 4 Band, a local favorite with the sounds of funk, soul, and R&B!
PLUS - DRONE SOCCER! Yes! There will be Drone Soccer exhibits at 6 pm, 7 pm and 8 pm with fun opportunities for kids to learn how to use a drone. Join Mare Island Co. and watch the national champions, the Sato Drone Soccer Team, play 4 v 4 "soccer."

Health equity and leadership training for youth
The Summer Leadership Institute, supported by a planning team from the Solano County Office of Education (SCOE) Youth Development Department and Touro University California's Public Health Program, invites high school students who are living in or attending school in Solano County to apply for a 5-day intensive youth advocate training that will be coordinated and led by community leaders and experts in the field of youth development, public health, environmental prevention, community activism, and peer education.
Students will participate in a field trip to the State Capitol to meet with leaders in governing agencies to engage in communication with decision-makers about policy development. Graduates of the institute will receive a Youth Advocate Certification and will have the opportunity to develop their own prevention campaign in their community that will be carried out during the upcoming school year. Students who complete this 5-day leadership institute will also receive a certificate of completion and a $150 Target gift card provided by Touro University.

JAPANESE TAIKO DRUMMING AT JFK LIBRARY
Come learn about the Japanese art of taiko with Kristy Oshiro at the JFK Library on June 27 at 1 p.m. Feel the thunderous sounds of the drums vibrating through your body as language, culture, and history combine into an exciting educational experience. The City of Vallejo is excited to announce that its municipal broadband service, formerly known as "VallejoNet," has been rebranded as "VIP Fiber."
This rebranding initiative is part of the City's ongoing efforts to position Vallejo as a hub for technological innovation and to reflect its commitment to providing high-quality, reliable internet service to its residents and businesses. With VIP Fiber, Vallejo will continue providing customers with the same fast and affordable internet service they have known and loved, backed by great local customer support and technical expertise.
The new name, VIP Fiber, better reflects the premium level of service and cutting-edge fiber optic technology that Vallejo's community can expect from this broadband service. Additionally,

Customers who are Onnet and currently serviceable by the existing fiber network can expect to see up to a 30% saving on their services compared to their current provider. Customers that are Offnet and not currently serviceable will soon be able to access VIP Fiber's fast and reliable internet service as the City continues its investment in expanding the fiber optic network.
