HUMANE SOCIETY PET OF THE WEEK
Theo
Domestic Shorthair cat, male, age 4 months
This handsome mini-hunk is Theo! He is a sweet, silly, athletic kitten of 4 months old. Theo is currently being fostered at a loving temporary home along with his siblings Iris, Pixie and Sunny. Theo and his littermates were rescued from beneath a wood pile at a very delicate age. They are now romping, hopping, purring happy little cats who LOVE to run and play! If you’d like to meet Theo or his siblings, visit HSNB.org to fill out our cat adoption interest application.
For a list of our available cats and dogs, go to HSNB.org and click on the Adoptions tab. Copper Wire Theft Alert
The City of Vallejo’s Public Works Department has recently conducted nighttime light surveys in east Vallejo (District 1) and encountered about 75 inoperable streetlights along Ascot Parkway between Redwood Parkway and Turner Drive, and along Redwood Parkway, between Ascot Parkway and Columbus Parkway, due to copper wire theft. The Traffic division has been working continuously since being notified, restoring power to affected streetlights as quickly as possible.
The City of Vallejo encourages any observers of wire theft to report it to the Vallejo Police Department by phone at (707) 648-4321 or by filing a police report electronically. It is very costly to replace this wiring and poses a public safety hazard, so please be cautious in these areas.
