VALLEJO PD CELEBRATES WOMEN’S HISTORY MONTH & TAKES THE POLICING PROJECT 30 X 30 PLEDGE The Vallejo Police Department (VPD) honors the impact and accomplishments of women across the globe. We especially thank all of our women officers and department staff for their hard work during the month of March. As a commitment to increase the number of women officers at the VPD, the Department has announced its partnership with the Policing Project to increase women police officers’ level to thirty percent by 2030. As of today, women make up twelve percent of sworn officers and only three percent of police leadership in the Nation. Our mission is to increase these numbers by 2030 as well. We pledge and are committed to ensuring that our women candidates and officers have all of the tools and resources necessary to make this happen.
