Safety Council
The Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation (BWC) Division of Safety & Hygiene and the Pickaway County Chamber of Commerce co-sponsor, the Pickaway County Safety Council. The Safety Council meets monthly, providing members an opportunity to learn about health and safety issues from other safety professionals throughout our area.
The goal of the Safety Council is to increase workplace safety awareness and promote a greater interest in the prevention of occupational accidents and disease. The Safety Council provides programs addressing occupational safety and health, workers’ compensation and risk management education and information.
Participants can actively network with other safety professionals, participate in community safety promotions, and if the company is state funded, can receive a potential four percent premium discount for the program year, as well as attend our annual Safety Council award banquet. All members are encouraged to attend.
