Straight staircase puts voluminous trim on full display in 3 Pillar Homes’ Eversole Run entry
When 3 Pillar Homes built the $1.5 million house that will be part of the 2021 BIA Parade of Homes, the company placed a heavy emphasis on trim – both in terms of quality and quantity.
It makes sense, then, that the builder would also make efforts to showcase as much of the trim as possible. Perhaps the most pronounced of those efforts is a unique staircase configuration that allows visitors to see as much of the stairway trim as possible, no matter their position.
The 4,888-square-foot home sports a chic modern farmhouse theme. With five bedrooms, five and a half baths, and a three-car garage, it’s located in Eversole Run, one of the neighborhoods in Plain City’s massive Jerome Village development.
During the construction process, there was so much trim stacked up – for use in the details, beams, wainscoting, mantle and baseboards – it nearly touched the ceiling, says 3 Pillar Sales Consultant Lari Madosky Shaw.
“The carpenters kept bringing in the trim for days and days,” Shaw says.
One of the places that most prominently displays the trim is the staircase. That’s staircase, singular: It runs straight up from the basement to the second floor, a change from the spiral or staggered staircases seen in most homes. That means you can see straight from the second story down to the basement and vice versa.

Focal point though it may be, the trim is certainly not the only example of 3 Pillar’s commitment to high-quality materials. That commitment is also visible in the windows – there are nearly 20 Franklin Art Glass transom windows throughout the house – and the high-end appliances from Finnish luxury brand Fisher & Paykel.
On top of that, the house is one of the first display homes to utilize highend COREtec flooring. Because it’s impressively waterproof, COREtec is even used in the bathrooms. High-end marble tile can also be found throughout the house.
The kitchen makes use of custom inset cabinetry, with even the refrigerator and freezer – located on opposite ends – behind cabinet doors. An oversized prep kitchen makes it possible for the kitchen to serve as a gathering place without mess. And it benefits from the 11-foot ceilings throughout the first floor.
Outside, there’s a massive covered porch with Trex decking, a tongueand-groove ceiling and a well-equipped outdoor kitchen. Beyond the covered porch is a patio with additional seating and a fire pit.
The house has bedroom suites on all three levels: one just inside the front

entrance, one in the basement and three on the top floor. The showpiece of the second story has to be the master bath, with a soup bowl tub situated smack in the middle as well as a huge marble shower with a drying area.
The clear highlight of the lower level is the massive bar, which anchors a 1,466-square-foot space built primarily for entertaining. Behind it is a glass backsplash with black trim, and just off to the side is an enormous wine room. The fifth and final bedroom and an exercise room, separated from the bar area by a glass wall, fill out the rest of the basement.
