The 4th Annual Fashion on the TOWN will be held in October 2014. The catwalks of New York and Paris meet Greenville during this TOWN Magazine and City of Greenville produced event. Fashion on the TOWN, planned on the heels of the widely successful “Fashion Night Out,” was started amidst a down economy to create resurgence and excitement in our local retail industry. 2011 founding participants saw as much as three times the sales profits from the same dates in the prior year. Noted benefits of the sponsorship, beyond increased sales, were new customer bases, location awareness, and overall brand identity. This event will begin with a VIP party (past years’ locations include: Marriott Green, The Lazy Goat, and Hotel Domestique). The next two nights, select boutiques will open their doors after hours for a fashion crawl complete with passports, giveaways, refreshments, and shuttles.

The Rose Ball September 20, 2013 More than 700 guests attended the Rose Ball, Greenville’s longest-running charitable gala. Guests enjoyed cocktails and conversation in the company of 4,000 roses, many from local gardens, before settling for dinner. A diverse array of musical talent was on display, with a harpist, pianists, string ensembles from Furman and Christ Church Episcopal, and the band Right to Party. The ball raised more than $400,000 to be distributed to Bon Secours St. Francis Health System and 13 other local organizations. Photography by Jennifer Davis Whitmire
