BUILDING STRONG FOUNDATION The proposed study structure has been developed with a view to developing a strong foundation in key managerial concepts, their current and upcoming practices, as well as a deep understanding of its functions. Additionally, it lays a special emphasis on enhancing communication and Presentation Skills of learners so as to help them create an impact in this competitive world.
The salient features of this Scheme are: 1. In the first three semesters the students will study 9 courses including 2 or 3 courses based on Seminar/ Workshop/ Project. 2. The focus in the first year will be on imparting general management skills in various functional areas including Marketing, Operations, Finance, Accounts, IT, HR, and Economics. 3. Students will choose an area of specialisation in the second year. Five streams of specialisation are offered: Operations & Supply Chain, Marketing, Finance, HR and Entrepreneurship & Family Business.
Our industry tieup allows us to offer Merit Scholarship to students based on their academic record, and performance in the Entrance Test as well as their score in nationally recognised tests.
4. Eight elective courses will be offered, four each in 3rd and 4th semesters. For super specialization, the student will study at least six electives from one stream. For dual specialization, the student will study four electives from any two streams. 5. There is a Summer Internship Project in the third semester and a Dissertation in the fourth semester. 6. Case studies will be integral part of the pedagogy with at least two case studies for each unit of each subject.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized University or CA/CS/ICWA (minimum 50% marks or equivalent CGPA.) Final year students are also eligible to apply provided they complete all requirements for the qualifying degree by the specified date. Concession of 5% marks for SC/ST candidates. SELECTION PROCESS Admission will be based on academic profile, PTU Nalanda Entrance Test, group discussion and interview. Those with valid CMAT/AT/MAT scores are exempt from Entrance Test. ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT MENTORING START-UPS In 2014, PTU Nalanda setup an Entrepreneurship Development Cell in the campus to enable B.Tech. students as well as working professionals to interact with successful entrepreneurs, learn the fundamentals, and develop their startups under their expert mentorship.
Since inception the EDC has mentored several students who have successfully setup their own enterprise. The programme guides the students interested in setting up their own enterprise through lessons in creativity and innovation, preparation of business plan, and guidance in marketing fundamentals.
Similarly the six months industrial training for B.Tech students to learn through on-the-job training, as well as acquire specialized certification in various key areas, besides business communication, and soft-skills.
