Case Study Major Offshore Windfarm Project Galbraith was commissioned to negotiate the acquisition of rights to install onshore transmission cables along a 34km corridor of land covering multiple ownerships. The project was delivered by an integrated team of GIS, Commercial and Energy specialists drawn from across the company. The GIS team provided mapping support to the client throughout the project, from exploratory land referencing & production of option agreement plans to CPO and servitude plans meeting the criteria set out in the Land Registration etc. (Scotland) Act (2012). This work was underpinned by the design and implementation of a customised project management database, the use of industry standard desktop and Web GIS systems and the deployment of mobile data collection technologies.
