Good Health = Good Productivity The Y at Work program will benefit your most important asset, your employees. Invest today for a healthier tomorrow.

Good Health = Good Productivity Many of Canada’s top employers are at the forefront of a movement to encourage their employees to stay fit and lead a healthy lifestyle. According to a study done by the Region of Waterloo in March of 2010, the majority of working aged adults in Waterloo Region are leading an unhealthy lifestyle. As a result, workplaces face increased costs from greater rates of absenteeism, presenteeism (poor productivity) and an increased burden on healthy workers. The Y at Work program will benefit your most important asset, your employees.

How do you know your employees are experiencing the benefits from a Y MCA membership?

The YMCA realizes this is an investment by you for your employees; and with all investments you need to assess the return. The YMCA will provide an evaluation tool by facilitating a survey at the beginning and end of each year. x To determine employee information in regards to fitness goals, interests and current activity levels the YMCA will provide a survey link to employees. x The information obtained will allow the YMCA to connect your employees to programs and services specifically suited to their fitness goals. x The YMCA can provide a follow-up survey annually to assess benefits to the employees overall health. Survey results will also evaluate program effectiveness and identify program modification requirements. We want you to see the value of your investment. The YMCA is committed to building a healthier community; support our efforts by building healthier employees.
