Hi Key Clubbers!

I hope you all had a fantastic holiday season and are ready to continue your Key Club journey into the new year. The new term is coming soon!

As for December, we had many ongoing events to help support you guys and your busy schedules during finals. In January, we aimed to have all in-person events, but unfortunately had to transition back online due to COVID spikes after winter break.

Nevertheless, we have had a great amount of service events avaliable that vary from bookmark making to scarf knitting. Don’t be afraid to try something new! I hope you were able to expand your horizons while meeting your service hours for the MRP with both club and division events. After all, you won’t regret connecting with your Key Club family, even if it is online!

Please enjoy this winter and holiday themed newsletter! Our December events were full of holiday cheer and made up the last few in-person events prior to 2022. Along with event recaps, you’ll also find December Member Recognition and an in-depth rundown of DCON--District Convention. The end of the term is coming soon!

We made it through finals! Thank you to all those who participated in our December events. We had over 6 service events and I was so happy to see so many faces at the December DCM and the Holiday-a-Thon. Giving during the winter seasons is always the most rewarding, so I am so glad that so many of you guys were able to participate. The Night of Holiday Lights had almost over 65 of us helping our local community and I am proud to say that we were able to produce such high quality service.

I have a few important announcements for this month. The first is the Member Recognition Program (MRP). As of January 31st, all service hours have been submitted, but thank you to all who participated and got involved! Be sure to check out Katarina’s guide as well for the next imporant events that are coming up!

Also, thank you to all those who came to our end of semester celebration! A warm welcome to all the new members who joined us. If you haven’t gotten your t-shirt, membership card, or handbook, please reach out to me.

As always, feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns!
