December SOSP: Providing Basic Needs

What does SOSP stand for?

SOSP stands for Spotlight on service program. Every month we have a different organization that we direct our service projects towards.

Holiday Care Goodies for LifeMoves

At this service event, volunteers helped package holiday care bags with hot chocolate, candy canes, cards, and paper snowflakes for the LifeMoves shelter. These care bags were delivered to the shelter and used to help the homeless enjoy the holidays.

What is Providing Basic Needs?

Providing Basic Needs is the act of donating certain necessities (such as food, water, clothing, etc.) to communities that cannot afford these expenses. Spread the holiday cheer by providing your community with basic needs during the holiday season. Clothing or food drives are perfect service projects for this month. Let’s ensure that all people have the proper necessities to live.

Especially during the holidays-also known as the” season of giving”--, it is crucial that we support our community and give them the gift of a safe and supported holiday. Use your resources in order to help others feel the magic of the holidays.

This month, Carlmont Key Club hosted one of its last in-person service events of the 2021-22 term. AT Holiday Care Goodies for Life Moves, Carlmont Key club was able to provide basic needs for people in shelters near us.
