Clara Designs was a small business I set up oďŹƒcially in 2018, after selling handmade greetings cards and canvas paintings since 2016 within the local community. Now I sell stocks of greetings cards, printed designs as well as custom made to order products. The main material I use in my work is watercolour paint, aswell as markers, gouache and ink. Recently I have learnt modern calligraphy techniques using brush pens, a popular edition to my designs. I also use the Adobe creative suite, my main skill set being in using the illustrator and photoshop programs.
A made-to-order set of cards for a customer to send to their wedding guests. The customer speciďŹ ed handrawn calligraphy and watercolour patterning on the cards. These designs were handrawn and then scanned and ďŹ nalised on the computer before printing and sending.
This project consists of 3 handmade designs scanned in and printed professionally onto high quality paper in a batch of 30 to be sold through the online site etsy and in local shops.
The most successful project to date. I drew and scanned in a batch of 5 dierent christmas card designs. These were sent to a print shop to be printed professionally, in a batch of 40. Every single one sold within 2 weeks of production.
Aswell as greetings cards I have also taken many one-o custom orders and have sold paintings and large illustrations. Custom orders include tattoo designs, special cards, posters and canvas paintings.
