intro M Y NAM E IS CLARA . I consider myself to be somewhat a jack of all trades, but one thing remains the same: I love everything I do. I firmly believe that passion shines through in one’s work. Anywhere in being a fluid, ever-changing hobbyist to a designer, I strive for my drive and zeal to come through in all my work.

go solo DESCRIPTION Go Solo stemmed from a concept that I am passionate about: solitude. Go Solo is both a mobile and print campaign seeking to educate college students about the benefits of spending time alone. CONCEPT Go Solo’s mobile app randomly suggests activities to do alone. The user may enter personal characteristics to pull more related activities. The app also has a screen listing the benefits of spending time alone, and a master solo activity list. Each of the posters suggest an activity to do alone, along with one benefit. first date jitters

DESCRIPTION First Date Jitters Ale is an interactive, easy-drinking ale meant for first dates. In Visual Literacy, we had to create a physical object inspired by a narrative. My chosen narrative was “First Date Jitters”. CONCEPT The nerves of a first outing with someone inspired the clashing, frenetic color palette, bold type, and geometric patterns. The interactive aspect comes with the user’s anxiety manifesting in playing with and peeling off the beer bottle label, as the instructions on the label direct one to. rise DESCRIPTION Rise is a nature magazine about dawn. For Making Ideas Visible, the goal was to create a magazine from a list of natural phenomenons. CONCEPT Inspired by the phenomenon of dawn, Rise consists of photographs, digital collages, and scanned watercolor type experiments. eau DESCRIPTION Eau: The Art of Fragrance is a book studying the artistry, psychology, and chemistry of scent and fine fragrances. CONCEPT This book was inspired by my love of blooms and perfumes, which in my mind, are both synonymous. The style of the pages draws from the natural, timeless elegance of high-end perfumery and blooming botanicals. yoga for cyclists

DESCRIPTION Yoga for Cyclists is a rebranding campaign for a local event that includes a brochure, a set of posters, and a corresponding website. CONCEPT For Visual Literacy, we were to find an existing flyer for a local event that could use redesigning. My chosen flyer was an advertisement for a “yoga for cyclists� course. In rebranding and creating a visual system, I drew inspiration from the serenity of yoga and incorporated the nature scenery of cycling.
