For the Kids

Great for kids to learn the ropes fishing from the shoreline, but remember to keep an eye on children around the water. What is it?

Clarence River. Best fished by boat in drier months when salinity is higher, as the fish tend to venture further up the river. Run out tide is best for bigger Flathead. Land based is best by the Marina off Skinner Street, Sth Grafton and near the Sth Services Club. Where is it?

It is the bridge that joins South Grafton and Grafton. What’s there?

Both locations have boat Ramps have toilet facilities and Hooks Bait and Tackle is at the Marina. What fish should I target?

Flathead, Bream and even Jewfish. Good Bass fishing up and downstream from here (in season of course). What bait should I use?

Fresh and live prawns. What lures are best?

Deep diving lures for Bass, and soft plastics for Flathead. Best time to fish?

When the water is clear and salinity levels are high usually May through to December.

What dream fish might I catch?

Big Bass and a nice Jewfish. There are some deep holes in the area and around Elizabeth Island. Grab some local advice.

Safety First: - Fishing from the Bridge is prohibited.
