Main Campus Potsdam, New York Clarkson’s main campus is located in Northern New York in the village of Potsdam — a classic college town on the banks of the Raquette River, not far from the 6-million-acre Adirondack Park. Treelined streets and historic red sandstone buildings give a friendly look to an array of modern stores and restaurants within walking distance of campus. The Potsdam campus houses both master’s and doctoral degree programs, as well as all of the University’s bachelor’s degree programs. Capital Region Campus Schenectady, New York Clarkson’s Capital Region Campus (CRC) in Schenectady, New York, is a satellite campus that offers graduate and professional degrees, with evening on-site courses. Centrally located to many of the University’s corporate partners in research, graduate education, talent development and alumni networking, the campus is conveniently accessible via train, plane and car. The campus is less than 30 minutes from the state capital in Albany and less than three hours from New York City, Syracuse and Boston. Athletics From the gym to Division I • Nineteen men’s and women’s varsity teams • Numerous intramural and club sports — more than 80 percent of Clarkson students play intramural sports, like basketball, hockey, football, soccer and volleyball Clarkson attracts the serious athlete as well. Student Visa Support Students who are not U.S. citizens or permanent residents and who need to secure a student visa are required to provide proof of funding for their studies. • Undergraduate applicants should provide funding information as part of their application for admission.
• Graduate applicants can provide financial documentation after the offer of admission once financial support decisions are made.
Self-funded students should complete the Certification of Finances Form, which shows the specific amount of funding needed to meet all educational and personal expenses for one year of study. Students enter all of their sources of support, including Clarkson funding. The student and sponsor(s) sign the form, and return it along with bank statements documenting the availability of funds. Students sponsored by their home government or other scholarship program should provide a letter from the agency indicating the amount of support available for each year. Important Graduate Admissions Deadlines: Clarkson accepts applications to most graduate programs on an ongoing basis, with the exception of Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Physician Assistant Studies. For all other programs, complete applications are continuously reviewed on a space-available basis for all upcoming terms (intakes).
