A program built for engineers and tech professionals
Clarkson’s MSEM program gives working professionals in engineering and technical fields the opportunity to collaborate with fellow goal-oriented colleagues, as well as with faculty who bring a wealth of industry and workplace experience to discussions. Featuring a curriculum that builds expertise in project management, financial analysis, risk assessment, and leading cross-disciplinary teams, Clarkson’s MSEM program provides a clear competitive edge.
Optimized for a complex work life and schedule
Clarkson’s hybrid MSEM program blends in-person and online classroom learning for a worker-friendly and extraordinarily flexible experience. During the two-year program, students attend six in-residence weekends in stateof-the-art facilities in Beacon, New York, or New York City (made possible through our partnership with the American Management Association). The program starts every September and January out of both locations. These face-to-face interactions build the foundation for vibrant online discussions and courses while providing the flexibility working professionals need through synchronous and asynchronous learning.
Powered by corporate partnerships
GLOBALFOUNDRIES, Turner Construction, United Technologies Corporation, Johnson Controls and the National Society of Professional Engineers help shape the program to ensure it meets the specific needs of industry leaders now and in the future. It’s a successful formula for companies and students. For their capstone project, Clarkson MSEM students take what they’ve learned and apply it to a project developed in conjunction with their companies.
For a better future
Clarkson’s MSEM program delivers best practices specifically geared toward engineering, manufacturing and tech companies. This program creates leaders poised for continued growth and success in their organizations.
“The MSEM program really empowered me to step outside of my comfort zone and think in ways I hadn’t before. Each course was designed in such a way that we were given the tools necessary to be successful business leaders. From the professors to the students in my cohort, motivation became our bond. As a businesswoman, I am very proud to have graduated from this program. I am certain it will help shape my future successes. Believe in yourself, and you will truly be unstoppable.“ — Rachel Dass ’17, Johnson Controls

“ I chose the Clarkson MSEM program for its combination of affordability, time to completion, support and excellent reputation throughout industry. I recently took a job in engineering management and needed a disciplined but flexible approach. I liked the small classes and enjoyed meeting my classmates to go over materials and concepts. I was pleased and surprised that what I learned about tools and techniques could be used right away. My management team has taken a keen interest in the coursework I’ve done and its applications to our projects.”
