Sanofi’s exhibition stand was one of the main attractions of the Cardiology Congress, thanks to the 4 solutions we implemented to present the product portfolio. oculus rift virtual reality application

Rare cardio diseases were illustrated with a virtual journey in a mountain area, sprinkled with edelweiss flowers. Once every part of the scenery was explored, the doctors discovered useful information to establish diagnosis in the case of rare diseases. The messages, completely integrated in the whole image, were centered on information and brand, offering solutions in case of complicated diagnosis. For example, one of the messages in the application was: ‘Thanks to the support offered by Genzyme, Romania has an available blood test to diagnose Fabry and Pompe disease. The test is fast, simple and free for doctors and patients’. multi touch applications

medicine, meant recomposing an edelweiss flower using a multi touch system. This symbol of rarity, the centerpiece of the application, was the message support – the main symptoms and diagnosis methods of rare affections.

These applications were used by all 3 Sanofi branches, present at the Congress. One of them, designed to promote rare cardio disease

augmented reality photo application

Using this application, the stand visitors, standing in front of a screen, appeared in real time in a completely different environment, surrounded by virtual or 3D elements. By simply moving their hands, the users were able to select from 3 virtual environments – mountain scenery with edelweiss flowers, the Sinaia Casino area or the inside of a heart, and generate a photograph. What’s more, the photo could be instantly emailed, shared on a social network or printed. virtual assistant

The same exhibition stand received a virtual assistant, projected as a real person on a cut-out vertical surface, offering information on the brand, the products and different affections.

ZENTIVA Exhibition Stand

At the National Conference of Family Medicine, Zentive showcased 2 different therapeutic areas: Rheumatology, Cardiovascular and Gastroenterology. In order to make sure that all portfolios were represented in an interactive way, we developed a multi touch application for each area. rheumatology

Reconstructing the bone system was made possible by a multi touch application which prompted the participants to answer a series of questions on pathology and product. As their answers progressed, the 3D human bone system was gradually created. cardiovascular

In a multi touch interface, we implemented two human bodies animated in 3D. The participants were supposed to access the heart area and, thanks to the technology used by the application, associated the necessary medicine for

each treatment phase. The entire functionality was based on Drag & Drop, so the application was intuitive and userfriendly. gastroenterology

From the same interface, by accessing the pulmonary area, the participants were shown an image containing 5 different patient profiles. According to the profile, the participant associated the product efficiency graphic with the right affection. In a timeframe of 20-30 seconds after the acid value increase (marked by the breakdown of the image), the doctor had to reconstruct a group (patient profile and graphic), to save the patient. Once a group was rebuilt, the screen showed a short, 1 second promo message on the specific medication.

SANOFI Exhibition Stand

The Sanofi stand at the National Conference of Family Medicine was conceived as a nature oasis in the middle of the city. The whole ensemble was complemented by a photo application to truly show relaxation in a natural environment. Using augmented reality and Kinect technology, we created a Photo Booth application the allowed the person in front of the screen to spontaneously pose with predefined virtual or 3D elements. The photo’s scenery was an animated forest, but the whole experienced was enhanced with sounds specific for a stroll in nature. The application permitted the instant emailing of the photo, sharing on social networks or printing.

04 Event:

GENZYME

The Genzyme stand at the 2015 SNR Congress became a special experience for the participants thanks to the Photo Booth application, brought to life thanks to augmented reality and Kinect technology. The application permitted the person in front of the screen to pose in a different environment – a mountain scenery embroidered with edelweiss flowers, symbol of rarity and natural purity. The photos had the options to be emailed, shared on social networks or instantly printed.

05 Event:

ASTRA ZENECA Photo Booth Experience

Placing the customer center-stage – that’s what AstraZeneca wanted to do. So we designed an application that took the user’s photo and placed it on the front cover of the magazine! Choosing different scenarios was made easier with Kinect technology, so users could interact with the application just by sliding their hands. The photos were kept in a constantly updated gallery that ran when no one was in front of the screen. What’s more, the pictures had the options to be shared by e-mail, via social networks, or even printed out.

Another way to make sure yours is the IT-stand at an exhibition is to design an augmented reality app based on Kinect technology. Which is exactly what we did for Astra Zeneca! The users first took a photo through the application and, projected on a screen, they could see the heart rate line between their very own hands, using it to catch falling elements. Evidently, the stakes were high, as every user wanted to be kept in the top scorers’ board!

Diabets Virtual Journey

Because the life of a diabetes patient is, more often than not, filled with obstacles, we created a virtual reality application to exemplify the daily difficulties of these patients, through an adventurous ride. how it works :

The user puts on the Oculus Rift display helmet and goes on a virtual journey in which the challenges are those of a diabetes patient. The doctor at the exhibition stand can offer the necessary support to make the ride easier and make sure the user completes it successfully. On the suspended bridge, if the user looks to the left, the image becomes blurry, thus illustrating hypoglycemia. To overcome this block, marked by the message ‘HYPOGLYCEMIA! Ask you doctor’s advice to go further’, a helping virtual doctor lends a helping hand by offering two sugar cubes.

Going further in the journey and looking to the right, the user will be facing a threatening flock of birds attacking, along with the message ‘HYPERGLYCEMIA! REGAIN CONTROL!’. The virtual doctor appears again, pointing out the necessary measures to be taken in order to keep the glycemic values within normal parameters: education, exercise, diet, treatment. When the journey is complete, the user sees the message ‘CONGRATULATIONS! You have just experienced a short excursion into the life of a diabetes patient’. The virtual doctor points to a board summarizing all the ways to keep this disease under control. Along the trip we inserted logos of the products and Zentiva branding elements, to ensure brand awareness.

ASTRA ZENECA Brilique Interactive Game

To make their exhibition stand cooler, AstraZeneca wanted to implement an application based on Kinect gesture recognition. The user took a photo through the application and then using natural hand movements worked to score as many points by transforming 3D molecules into Brilique pills. The application tracked and displayed the top scores, to see who the champion was!

ASTRA ZENECA Telepresence Robot

The Telepresence Robot, is a remote controlled device using a computer or a tablet, which can move in any direction, thus facilitating an innovative way of interacting with other people, especially in the case of events with many attendees. how it works :

AstraZeneca’s participation at the conference was marked by our Robot; for this, we developed a custom application for the telepresence robot, to display predefined messages and images, which varied according to the robot’s

interaction with the interested people. The robot smiled and wore a bowtie, having the goal of welcoming guests in an out-of-the-ordinary fashion, get the eyes on the brand, and deliver promotional materials. Once the interaction was settled, the event attendee was able to have a real-time conversation with more participants. The applications’ content can vary from simple text messages to animations, clips, polls or games, according to the specifics of every project.

Virtual Journey inside Artery

Inside an artery there are different types of cells, as well as blood clots and elements that affect a correct circulation. The virtual reality application we developed for the Bayer exhibition stand was a roller-coaster like journey inside in artery, from the viewpoint of red blood cell. Along the trip, the cell encounters not only blood clots that it must dodge, but also helpers in the battle against bad circulation. Controlling the journey is left completely at the user’s desire, as the perspective shifts according to the head and glance change, thanks to the Oculus Rift technology. This allows complete visualization and understanding of the blood flow and its constant rhythm inside our body. Once the journey is completed, the application permits slow motion movements, so as the user to attentively observe the artery walls and the elements inside it. Over the course of the ride, the allies of a good circulation – proper medicines – come up every now and then, easing the overcoming of obstacles.

LILLY DIABETES Race Game Simulator

Although diabetes is not at all fun, driving to stop it was an engaging experience for the people who dropped by Lilly Diabetes’ stand. With stunning graphics and a forced feedback steering wheel, participants learned about the dangers of diabetes in an actual race against it! The game worked with obstacles that increased or decreased the glucose level, always displayed on screen, which had to be kept between 70 and 180 mg/dl. When the glucose level was low, the car moved chaotically; dropping under 70 mg/dl or exceeding 180 mg/dl would disable the driver’s wheel control. With boosters on the way, the user’s purpose was to keep his/her glucose level balanced and get as many points as possible, while finishing the race first!

Augmented Reality

Abbott Diabetes care wanted a different way to engage their customers, so we created an Augmented Reality photo experience that put a real person over a virtual frame, by real time cutting and overlapping. The consumers would see themselves on a screen, projected into a virtual environment, and pose for a candid photo. Moving their hand would trigger interaction with the application, via Kinect technology. The photos previously taken were displayed in a constantly updated gallery that ran when no one was in front of the screen. And another fun part was the possibility to send the photos by e-mail, upload on social networks or instantly print.

3D Bacteria Game

MSD (the pharmaceutical company) had a kick-ass stand which allowed visitors to try a new 3D augmented reality game based on Kinect gesture technology. The users had their picture taken and then got into superhero mode – fighting bacteria with a custom made shield, while scoring points! With their actual selves projected on the screen, participants got to truly and safely interact with the virtual 3D bacteria via simple hand movements.

To make their corner stand out of the crowd, we designed for Duodupa a cut-out display in a circular form, which projected visuals and text in a spinning form. The trick was, even though it seemed like a crystal ball, the screen was flat!

The Gastroenterology Congress in Oradea got even more interesting when Bristol-Myers Squibb invited doctors to a different kind of quiz. Pens and papers aside, the interactive quiz application allowed full interaction with the dynamic content using only gesture. App basis – Kinect technology!

MSD Pharma Company challenged their event’s participants to a little balance game – they had to balance as many virtual spheres as possible, using a Kinect custom application. With themselves projected on the screen, they could interact with the falling spheres with simple, natural movements. From holding them like Atlas, to dropping, gathering and scattering them around, the participants were able to manipulate and decide the way they wanted to interact.
