Project Laboratory Prof. Arch. M. Lacour a.y. 2015/2016 The project area is situated in a nevralgic point of the city, between two district: Saint Gilles and Anderlecht. The intervention reuses the old metro tunnels which remained empty due to a reorganisation of all the mobility system. It is obtained through the following steps: 1) opening the old tunnels 2) activating the side with activities 3) activation of the areas nearby 4) extension of the same concept in other parts of the city The results are: - more services for the citizens - better quality spaces in a forgotten big area

LINKING SEA Urban Planning laboratory Prof. Arch. J. M. Madrigal Pages a.y. 2013/2014
The aim of the intervention is connecting the East and West side of Genoa through a walk along the waterfront. This would improve sustainable mobility and activities as well creating a new center, efficient for green aeas, mobility and entertainment. The work focused on three main topics: - harbour and nature: relationship between the new areas and the green system. - living the coast: how the new buildings enter in contact with the interventio - mobility: how changes the mobility and the connections with all the city.
KENNEDY SQUARE
CITY FAIR
In particular I focused on the first topic: I worked on how the waterfront can be improved connecting the mountain side with the sea. The exercise focused also on choosing the best kind of tree in order to provide chromatic atmosphere all year long. The green develops along all the interventions involving buildings, open aread and the wide Kennedy Square.

RECYCLE DURBAN Project Laboratory II Prof. Arch. Christiano Lepratti Prof. Arch. Davide Servente a.y. 2013/2014 SPECIAL MENTIONS First prize for competition held by eThekwini Municipality
exposed at: - About (D)urban exihbition - University of Genoa (IT) - Rivertown exhibition - Beer Hall, Durban (SA)
In a mainly forgotten industrial district, something is going to change. The Municipality requested a new residential pole in Durban. The project guidelines were REUSE and REHABILITATION. Its developing isn’t all at the same time but through the following steps: 1) occupying large streets with public attractions and entertainments 2) reusing bigger sheds for more public attractions 3) reusing old sheds to create little independent residential communities which contain all the primary needs (shops and services) and where everything it’s handy This provides km. 0 activities and reduces pollution as materials and workers come from nearby. Embodied energy, which is also important during the construction, is reduced as well. The new services are divided for sizes and spread equally around the district in order to avoid long movements for the new citizens.

Part of the requalification is held by the Beer Hall, a building which the Municipality wants to be dedicated to arts, expositions and entertainment. A new block is inserted with the aim of distributing the various rooms. The exposition area is divided by modular panels which make the space very flexible. An underground canal is uncovered beside it in order to provide a better environment.

FLIMSY DOME Construction Laboratory I Prof. Arch. Adrea Giachetta a.y. 2012/2013
Guidelines Projecting a dome 80 cm wide which can be built within 10 min and be stored in a box no bigger than 80 dm3. The aim was to look for semplicity and delicacy. From this comes the name “flimsy. Pre-built pieces match together to create an apparently simple but solid construction. What is particular is the joint which matches the pentagones: it was created melting together two little rings used by electricians. It has been used a little electric tool with base for the wood sticks as well. It creates a head which can be inserted in the screws.

S
Guidelines: - topic light on, light off - attention to pattern - wish for seeing the light effect I got my first design experience during my Erasmus in Bruxelles. A little lamp with a base 15x15cm wide. The base is obtained working with barbeque wood sticks, which were cut in three different sizes. Inside, where the wood sticks are lower, it hosts the led wire inserted all around the grid The cover instead, is just simple tracing paper, which creates a particular effect when the light is on. RIVERTOWN SUMMERSCHOOL Project Laboratory 3 Prof. Arch. Christiano Lepratti a.y. 2014/2015
Rivertown BEFORE
I participated to the Rivertown Summer School in August 2014 thanks to the Prize mentioned on my CV. and the project “Recycle Durban. Further reflections upon this district were made together with international worldwide architects and students. All this lead to a final presentation made by the students.
Rivertown AFTER
An important requalification started during those days, the first steps towards a better future for Rivertown: the canal was uncovered and surrounded by plants, the Beer Hall was restored and filled with a new nightlife and daily activities.

The workshop took place in Byblos, Lebanon, in April 2014. The students developed reflections upon an old railway in the city, in order to create a new identity and gathering spaces through the streets. The main idea is to match current uses together with new activities. The street is the main object which in base of its width hosts different forms of entertainment.

GENOA WATERFRONT collaboration with Florida American University (FIU) The workshop took place in October 2014. It lead toreflections about a waterfront mainly dedicated to port activities, trying to give back this area to the citizens and to give a new life to the fair which is now mainly abandoned. The main link object is Villa Croce whose green swings down from the hill until the sea.
