One Day spring morning’s clarity unsullied by judgments past or future just a moment light and blue
Spring Rain breezy puffed cloud dappled day distant hills island haze shadowed waters winds rise skies darken rain soon

Spring’s Time spring forward delays night saves light a disingenuous human strategy constrained by time’s rational limits yet respectful as Einstein’s relativity bends luminescent galaxy images entertains optimists among us with infinity’s possibilities frustrates fusty rationalists with a quirky ever expanding universe where without fail answers generate more questions

Passage if kindness entered the room would you recognize its presence look up from anguish hear the words in their search for you turn toward the gentle light

You you are the song wind sings to morning light you are the song blue sky sings to day’s passing you are the song sunset sings at the close of day you are the song moonlight sings to earth’s darkness you are the song stars sing to galaxies
Man With Umbrella late afternoon pewter sky drizzle a man in a raincoat waits on the corner holds a child’s umbrella unopened and pale pink watches children exit the yellow school bus with its red stop signs flipped up on each side boys clamber out clothed to match the day then a princess steps out sparkles in a powder blue dress that flows to the ground pink satin shawl multicolored back pack he walks to meet her opens the umbrella offers it to her they walk toward home share the news of their day apart
Sleep At Last sunny afternoon shaded recompense under old trees ignored so often when weather limits expectations of a moist windy day’s breathless afternoon soon to be evening Venus hints at nascent dreamy night hours
Spring Time Tree a tree’s skeletal form peppered with diminutive pale green buds announce Spring’s quiet dignity

Rainy Season tired of winter rain pelts windows spring comes at last in calendar time white stipples on the bay leaden winds still closed buds skittish impatience easily dissuaded of blue’s possibility no sunset hinders night’s arrival

Primroses a thick gray sky at the bay’s edge island hills’ snow sunshine seems unlikely orange cream yellow red on the dining room table in their Victorian splendor as slant light fades to end the afternoon

March chilly windy rainy day spring remains a vague potential left behind for another year the furnace kicks in at 7 am accompanied by long sleeved blue and green plaid flannel PJs smart wool socks slippers coffee’s essential saving grace

Time and Place sun’s late afternoon northern passage supports the cool spring day’s demise early morning gray showered clouds dissipate in azure clarity

Optimistic I like forsythia’s optimism glimpses of green scattered on long curved stems diminutive yellow bursts
