Breathers & Breather Adapters

CLS breather adapters and filler adapters compliment the CLS range of oil sample tubes and fittings and are constructed entirely of 316 stainless steel with seamless joins and no threaded connections to trap contaminants. The stainless steel construction enables them to be used in any environment or process and with any fluid. DESCRIPTION System breathers, taking oil samples and topping up via filler ports are primary sources of external contaminant ingression. The unique internal porting design of these adapters allows for a relatively short unit (125mm—135mm) thereby not fouling on system components and hoses. All of the adapter functions (breather, sampling or dispensing) have their own dedicated flow path, not allowing dispensed oil to travel into the breather. The porting size of the adapters provides a low pressure drop when re-circulating viscous lube oils (220-680cSt) using a filtration unit. The cost associated with the removal of oil contamination far exceeds the cost of excluding it from systems. ADAPTER TYPES

Clean Lube Solutions supply a range of top brand breathers to best suit your application. These include bulk tank breathers, desiccant and TRAP breathers, reservoir breathers, gearbox breathers and water repellent breathers. DESCRIPTION Breathers are a key component to all contamination control programs and in some cases are the major component. It has been determined that the cost of excluding 1 gram of dirt is only about 10% of what it will cost you once it gets into your oil. Our experienced professional team are also able to offer advice on the most suitable selection for the particular machinery type and usage within the food & beverage, mining, power generation, oil & gas, manufacturing and heavy industrial industries.

BREATHER TYPES:

Bulk lubricant and diesel storage tanks are often located in inhospitable areas with heat, dust, humidity and rain all acting to contaminate the stored product. Storage tanks should take into consideration the effective removal of airborne contaminants and moisture to maximise both fluid and component life. A 3 micron air breather filter is used to eliminate dust ingression and the removal of humidity to eliminate tank condensation is achieved via desiccant or an active reservoir vent. Specific breathers have been designed for bulk tanks that will remove these contaminants and allow high air flow rates into and out of tanks. They can be either disposable or re-buildable. Clean Lube Solutions recommend and offer either Des-Case desiccant or Donaldson TRAP bulk tank breathers.

Des-Case desiccant breathers protect against the tiniest particulates that destroy machinery. The desiccant beads absorb harmful moisture to ensure equipment is kept dry and running to it's optimum level. Des-Case desiccant breathers are designed to create optimal and even airflow in a large variety of industries and applications. APPLICATIONS: Totes Transformers Storage Tanks Hydraulics Clean Lube Solutions are able to supply the full range of Des-Case desiccant breathers.

Replace your dessicant when it turns from blue to pink!

Gearboxes are used in various applications in all industry types and are often operated in harsh areas. They can experience extremes of dust from the process or environment and moisture from wash downs or the atmosphere. In many cases a gearbox breather is the only contamination control device used, particularly with non-circulating gearboxes. Suitably applied and regularly changed, a gearbox breather is a low cost insurance against environmental contamination. Clean Lube Solutions offer the complete range of Des-Case desiccant or bladder style breathers as well as Donaldson TRAP breathers.

All oil reservoir systems require a breather, whether hydraulic or lubrication. The use of a 3 micron air breather will extend the life of the system filter and assist to reduce contamination induced wear. A correctly sized and applied reservoir breather will remove the unwanted environmental contaminants including dirt, humidity or free moisture. Clean Lube Solutions offer a range of Des-Case desiccant & non-desiccant breathers, Donaldson TRAP breathers and Pall breathers.

Free or atomised atmospheric water due to rain, equipment wash downs or water sprays require the use of hydrophobic breathers. Desiccant breathers used in this application are NOT suitable and along with most standard breather elements, will be clogged and ineffective if wetted out. This can result in a pressurised or depressurised oil reservoir or gearbox, contamination entry Hydrophobic Filter Element via seals or possibly seal failure. Particulate filter element repels A breather that is designed to be hydrophobic is the appropriate choice water and protects against dirt for free water. Clean Lube Solutions provides a range of Des-Case and Pall Hydrophobic breathers.

Kleentek Electrostatic Oil Cleaners remove contaminants, like oil oxidation products, to sub-micron levels and also remove deposits from system internals such as the oil reservoir and pipe work. Used in a multitude of applications that use hydraulic or lubrication oil they increase machine life expectancy and efficiency. KLEENTEK ELC’S Unlike traditional oil filtration Kleentek’s patented electrostatic technology removes all insoluble contaminants including degradation by-products that are responsible for varnish. Kleentek electrostatic oil cleaners actually clean the internals of the system. The technology allows the lubricants to act as a system cleaner, stripping varnish away one molecular layer at a time. Oxidation in oil reservoirs is curable with Kleentek. Kleentek systems have the unique ability to draw contaminants of all sizes out of the oil, using a kidney -loop system, trapping them on the surface of a collector. This removal of all insoluble contaminants, including tars and varnishes, allows you to achieve ultimate machine performance. Traditional mechanical filters remove only large particles, while Kleentek electrostatic systems are particle size independen t, allowing submicron particles as well as large contaminants to be removed from any non -conductive liquid. This means that only insoluble oil contaminants are extracted. Soluble additives present in the oil are not affected. Because the Kleentek system is so effective at maintaining oil cleanliness, it significantly reduces the need for repeated oi l changes. Clean Lube Solutions brand IBC dispensing cabinets are designed and manufactured in-house to meet the demand for safe, clean and convenient IBC storage and dispensing requirements. These all-weather cabinets enable the protected storage of 1000 litre IBC’s and in-field dispensing of filtered oils. DESCRIPTION

The IBC Dispensing Cabinet is a fully integrated storage and dispensing solution for 1000 litre IBC’s. The cabinet contains a pneumatic pump & filter to dispense filtered oils from one IBC into an operating oil system / reservoir. Space is available to store a second 1000 litre IBC for future use. The robust enclosure is suitable for all weather use and is bunded to contain 2000 litres of oil according to AS1940:2004. An accessible operators panel is included to fully monitor system pressure, filter blockage and to adjust oil flow rate. APPLICATIONS

Not all oil system replenishing requirements allow for the usual dispensing of oils via standard methods. Due to continual leakage or simply due to the convenience of bulk oil readily at hand, drums or IBC’s are sometimes located close to oil systems for continual topping. This means either drums or IBC’s are open to the weather, are not usually bunded and can be pumping contaminated oil into system reservoirs. Clean Lube Solutions have designed the forkliftable IBC Dispensing Cabinet for in-field use to be located and connected to the required oil system for continual supply of filtered oil. FEATURES & BENEFITS

The Clean Lube Solutions (CLS) powder coated containment bund and cabinet is supplied complete with: • Lifting Lugs & Fork Tynes • Quick & Simple Connection of IBC’s • Pulse Dampener • 5:1 Pneumatic Pump • Accessible Desiccant Breather • Differential Filter Pressure Gauge • Fluid Pressure Gauge • Oil Test Point • Shut Off Valve • Colour Coded Oil Designation Signage • Air Pressure Regulator & Locking Collar • Quality Filter with 5, 7 or 12 Micron Element • Flexible Suction Hose that Pivots for IBC Access • Valve, Hose and Connections to Recirculate Drum • External Air & Oil Connectors/Valves to the Rear

Sight Glasses

Clean Lube Solutions’ range of Des-Case visual oil inspection products make it easy to monitor oil level and quality at a glance and are easy to install on almost all lubricating machinery oil reservoirs. DESCRIPTION Des-Case Visual Inspection or Sight Glasses are designed for installation on equipment with fluid lubrication systems to allow the user to visually monitor the colour, clarity and purity of the lubrication fluid. Available with NPT, BSPT or Metric threading. MODELS 3-D BULLSEYE The new, redesigned, 3-D BullsEye enables constant oil monitoring from any angle and is manufactured from tough polyamide providing better clarity, durability and chemical and environmental resistance than ever before. The threaded end enables ease of installation and the domed oil viewing end makes for quick and easy monitoring of oil condition. The Des-Case 3-D BullsEye is effective in most operating environments with the maximum temperature rating of 110°C and the maximum pressure rating of 300#. (Operating Temperature: 200°F (93°C) at 265 PSI, 230°F (110°C) at 66 PSI). OIL SIGHT GLASS (OSG) With the OSG users have an immediate visual inspection of the oil and the ability to drain any accumulated water. The OSG is installed directly to a drain port located at the bottom of a reservoir or with an elbow for drain ports located on the side of the equipment. The spring loaded drain valve is utilized to drain off any water contamination. Any sediment or particles in the lubricating fluid will matriculate to the OSG where, upon inspection, the user can determine the appropriate action. The new Des-Case 3-D BullsEye sight glass is effective in most operating environments with a recommended temperature range of -40˚C to 93˚C and the maximum operating pressure of 65 psi at 93˚C (4.48 bar). Available in a range of fittings and sizes. HORIZONTAL OIL SIGHT GLASS Designed for equipment that is located too close to the ground to install the Standard Oil Sight Glass, the Horizontal Oil Sight Glass solves the problem of limited access. Minimum ground clearance is typical for many gear boxes. This problem is solved by the eccentric placement of the inlet nipple and outlet drain valve to allow for the same efficient functionality of the visual inspection glass but in a horizontal position. The Horizontal Oil Sight Glass is effective in most operating environments with the maximum temperature rating of 110°C and the maximum pressure rating of 265#. (Operating Temperatures and Pressures: 82°C to 265 PSI, 95°C to 66 PSI, 110°C at atmospheric pressure). OIL SIGHT GLASS & LEVEL MONITOR (OSGL) The Des-Case Oil Sight Glass and Level Monitor provides continuous and instantaneous monitoring of oil including the level. It comes in standard heights from 3” to 24", to correspond to the distance from the oil reservoir access port and the maximum height the oil will reach, and can be customized for special applications. OSGL allows the user to view the oil colour, clarity and accumulation of water or other contaminates. The strong, clear cast acrylic body allows for viewing of the level. The spring loaded drain valve is positioned to quickly discharge any water before it damages the oil lubricity. Red and green Buna O-rings are included with the OSGL to mark upper and lower limits, or to designate running oil level and idle oil level. Each Oil Sight Glass & Level Monitor comes with a 2 micron breather, which allows the oil level to equalize with the level inside the system. If you require a closed loop system, install the OSGL without the breather and use the top opening to port back into your equipment.

All Des-Case Sight Glasses from Clean Lube Solutions are available NPT, BSPT or METRIC THREADED

A Dual Port Oil Sight Glass & Level Monitor version is available with a second 3/8" NPT port opposite the installation nipple to allow the installation of a Sample Port for oil sampling. The Oil Sight Glass and Level Monitor is effective in most operating environments with the maximum temperature rating of 230 °F and the maximum pressure rating of 265#. (Operating Temperatures and Pressures: 110°C to 265 PSI, 95°C to 66 PSI, 110°C at atmospheric pressure). HIGH TEMPERATURE OIL SIGHT GLASSES In environments with exposure to temperatures exceeding 70°C on a regular basis, the High Temperature DesCase Oil visual inspection glass provides support up to 230°C. The prefect solution when radiant heat from nearby equipment or unusually high operating temperatures exceed the safe use of the regular Oil Sight Glasses. Only available in vertical style, the Pyrex Glass and Teflon End Caps allow for operating and environmental temperatures up to 230 degrees Celsius so even under extreme temperature conditions you are still able to visually monitor the oil qualities and expel water contamination. The High Temperature Oil Sight Glass is effective in most operating environments with the maximum temperature rating of 230°C and the maximum pressure rating of 200 PSI. LARGE VOLUME OIL SIGHT GLASSES High volume vertical models of 16 oz. and 32 oz. are used in situations where water contamination is severe or the operators want to observe larger volumes of oil. When reservoirs or equipment produce so much water such that other products cannot hold it all between maintenance checks, the Large Volume visual inspection Glass provides the extra storage to keep water out of the oil until it can be drained. Operating Temperatures and Pressures: 82°C to 265 PSI, 95°C to 66 PSI, 110°C at atmospheric pressure. OIL LEVEL INDICATOR The Oil Level Indicator (OLI) is used by maintenance professionals to gauge the oil level inside large tanks, gearboxes and reservoirs. When water contamination is not a problem or when a regular Des-Case Oil Sight Glass is already installed at the drain port, the Oil Level Indicator can be utilized to monitor oil level. The OLI is a clear acrylic tube with ½” NPT threads at each end. Red and green Buna O-rings are included with the OLI to mark upper and lower limits or to designate running oil level and idle oil level. It can be installed with the optional breather at the top ½” NPT port. If the user requires a closed loop, the ½” NPT can be used as a connector port to feed back into the system. Operators can visually monitor the oil for dirt and debris and take appropriate preventive action. MAGNET DRAIN VALVE OPTION The strong pull from this rare earth magnet will attract and hold microscopic ferrous particles. Further analysis of these particles can help determine what component is failing for replacement. The Magnet Drain Valve is easily interchanged with the standard drain valve on any Des-Case Oil Sight Glass Product. FEATURES & BENEFITS

Clean Lube Solutions’ offer the next generation in machine Inspection and fault detection with the world recognised Luneta Condition Monitoring Pod. install on almost all lubricating machinery oil reservoirs. DESCRIPTION The CMP is a multi-parameter inspection pod that greatly modernizes and expands daily one-minute inspections. The CMP enables daily inspections across numerous critical parameters. This capability delivers a huge benefit over less frequent oil sampling and other condition monitoring activities. EARLY FAULT DETECTION Early detection of machine faults and abnormal wear is key to machine reliability. The failure development period begins with ”P”, the point of first detection, and ends with “F”, the state of operational failure. The longer the PF interval the greater the likelihood a failure can be detected before expensive collateral damage and unscheduled downtime occurs. The CMP enables daily inspections across numerous critical parameters. This capability delivers a huge benefit over less frequent oil sampling and other condition monitoring activities (vibe, thermography, acoustics, etc.).

FEATURES The CMP is a multi-parameter inspection pod that greatly modernizes and expands daily one-minute inspections. Best applications include gearboxes, sumps, reservoirs and low pressure systems where high levels of reliability are critical.
