This is an overview of products and services in the cleantech area that companies and innovators can offer a national and international market from the Sundsvall region in mid Sweden. The overview should be a support for those seeking sustainable solutions in different areas, or want to be a bridge between the stakeholders and technical solution. Each company is described with respective products and/or solutions. The initial matrix shows to which t segment of technology firms belong. Our definition of cleantech is the same as EU's definition. Cleantech / environmental technology are "all the new technology that is less harmful to the environment than available alternatives." Cleantech is thus a generic term for solutions that facilitate the transition to a sustainable society.

2MA Technology AB Product area: Products and services for improving the efficiency of transport. Material: Intelligent control and measurement systems for monitoring and follow-up of vehicle's fuel consumption, speed, mileage logs and bookings. Areas of use: In all types of road-bound vehicle, both freight transport and small cars. Environmental characteristics: 2MA's system reduces environmental impact through fewer emissions of carbon dioxide, reduced fuel consumption and less wear and tear of vehicle. It also benefits the vehicle with a longer lifetime and reduced maintenance and repair costs. Increased awareness and training of drivers of vehicles also reduces the risk of accidents. Absolicon Product area: Solar energy - electricity and heating from the sun Product: Concentrated solar energy – Solar collectors and energy systems that generate industrial heat, steam, cooling, electricity and heating. Areas of use: The solar concentrators are suitable for large buildings, industrial users and companies that have large energy needs all year round. Absolicon offers three models and each installation is customised for the customer's specific energy needs. Abuton Product area: Abuton is a flexible system for heating, refrigeration and freezer facilities Materials: The system is modular and is easy to modify to meet changed requirements. The customer does not pay for the product, but for the installed output and safety level required. Service and maintenance are always included in the price. Calejo Product area: Calejo Future Intelligence provides forecasts, future studies and conferences for international companies as a support and for their making better strategic future and investment decisions. Material: The core is a unique in-house developed forecast model, which builds on artificial neural networks (ANN). Areas of use: Helps its clients to predict precisely future trends within a number of selected information areas that are important in the process of strategic decisions. Environmental characteristics: Reduces resources and environmental impact by permitting manufacturing and processing industries to plan better and create improved forecasts of future developments and decision bases for investment. About the product/service: Calejo Business Intelligence was founded in May 2009. In December 2009 the company was nominated by Vinnova and the Swedish Energy Authority as a VINN NU (WINNER) company and during 2010 Calejo was also given an award in Venture Cup's business plan competition. ChemseQ Product area: Efficient solutions within processing chemistry for refining and handling metals. ChemseQ recovers metals and additives from process water using a physical cleaning process. Materials: A foam of soap bubbles are used in the cleaning process for metals to catch metal residues. Areas of use: Efficient process solutions within processing chemistry for handling metal problems within different areas. For example: Minimising copper discharges from production of whisky. Manganese deposits from mechanical masses within peroxide bleaching. Reduction of heavy metals in the leachate from municipal landfills. Recovery of rare metals in surface treatment processes. Properties: Recovery of harmful, hazardous and valuable metals from solid waste material or process water. ChemseQ's method removes metals and recovers them while cleaned water and solid materials can be recycled and refined. This allows the creation of new business opportunities based on the existing material flow. About the product/service: ChemseQ's concept builds on separable complexing agents that are recovered using foam flotation or deposit, which can subsequently be regenerated and recycled. This generic technique allows you to remove and store harmful, hazardous and valuable metals from solid waste or process water. EcoCycleDesign Product area: Architecture and community planning EcoCycleDesign provides architecture and a planning process for design of buildings and areas to be developed. Process: A holistic way of designing buildings and urban areas that combines beautiful design with system design. Areas of use: For planning and designing buildings. Environmental characteristics: The solutions provide a lower environmental impact, thanks to the choice of building materials/elements, heating system, water and drainage, compared to conventional solutions. About the product/service: EcoCycleDesign is a holistic method that in combination with beautiful design and system design creates buildings and urban areas. The method has been used and constantly improved for more than 40 years in various types of project in Sweden and around the world. EcoCycleDesign can be used both for new buildings and restoration of existing buildings, and represents cost-efficiency, sustainability, energy savings and recyclable materials, high quality, good interior environments and health. ELFOREST Product area: Hi-tech electric hybrid solutions that save money and the environment Electric hybrid solutions – Elforest's electric hybrid concept does not just fit their own products, but also provide fuel savings in other vehicles and applications. They are now offering the technology as a license model for machinery or vehicle manufacturers. Material: Unique solutions using standard components, electric hybrid, diesel engine, generator, batteries with the EHB electric hybrid batterypac, EHD electric hybrid drivepac and control system. Areas of use: Electric hybrid solutions can be used for most vehicles and machines. Elforest began with forestry machines and snowmobiles, terrain transport concepts in areas without roads and vehicles. Properties: Energy and environmental savings technology for vehicles, fuel reductions and reduced environmental impact.
