Friends and Loyal Customers, A rainy, wet 2018 is finally behind us! What a challenging year for all facets of the green industry. We are sure many of you left a lot of work on the table simply by not being able to access the properties of your clients. As we often say, “You can’t change the weather,” so hopefully all of you adapted and had a successful 2018! This past Spring we added a potting machine to our production process. This fabulous machine has cut our production time significantly, allowing us to spend more time in the field maintaining plants, and not as much time getting them in a pot. We also added two new cold frame hybrid-greenhouses to allow us to overwinter more product and be better prepared for the Spring rush. As we have mentioned the last few years in this epilogue, our native plant offerings have continued to increase and we are growing large numbers of native perennials and shrubs to satisfy the needs of the residential and commercial markets. Rain gardens and runoff basins have become a mandated staple on almost all construction sites in our region, and the demand for native plant material has significantly increased. Our quart production is really starting to catch on for these projects, as it allows for a cheaper cost and easier installation for large scale plantings. As our family business has grown, we would like to also thank our incredible staff for all their hard work throughout the year. As many of you know, we have a great team of men and women that have been loyal to us for many years. We all spend a lot of time together in this seasonal business, and we are very blessed to have a wonderful “extended family.” Best of luck to you all, and have a healthy and prosperous 2019! If you have not signed up for our biweekly (or sometimes monthly, depending on craziness) availability, please email info@clearview-nursery.com or sign up on our website phillyplants.com and we’ll get you on the list. The Wright Family at Clearview Nursery Inc.
