BROWN COUNTY BOARD OF ELECTIONS
An opening is available with the Brown County Board of Elections for an Elections Clerk. Their duties would include processing voter registrations. Other responsibilites are public relations which include, answering the telephone, serving the public, passing out and accepting petitions, assisting with pollworker training, voter education, preparing for elections, checking ballot layout, ballot proofs, signatures on petitions, assisting with absentees, supply individuals with forms and necessary information to place a local option question on the ballot, assist with updating street listings, precinct maps and other duties as deemed necessary by the Board. You will be required to work Secretary of State mandated hours and there will be travel for education and other duties deemed necessary by Board, Director or Deputy Director. Qualifications: Registered Republican voter, knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, IT background, correspondence skills, knowledge of all office equipment, filing skills and other office procedures and must be able to lift 40 lbs.
