Bessie Hinson, 53
Bessie Alberta Hinson, age 53 of Russellville, Ohio, died Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at her home. She worked in retail most of her life. Mrs. Hinson was b o r n March 15, 1967 in Georget o w n , Ohio the daughter of the late Shirley Thomas and Velcie Eileen (Flaugher) McKenzie. She was also preceded in death by one brother – Robert McKenzie. Mrs. Hinson is survived by her loving husband of nineteen years – Robert Hinson; one son – Daniel Ishmael (Michelle) of Aberdeen, Ohio; two stepchildren – Carissa Kirk (Kalub) of Ripley, Ohio and Dustin Hinson (Ashley) of Southgate, Kentucky; six step-grandchildren – Raven Duncan, Matthew Leonard, Corbin Hinson, Brooks Hinson, Owen Kirk and Olivia Kirk; two sisters – Mary Davenport of Ripley, Ohio and Peggy Nolen (Donald) of Vanceburg, Kentucky; two brothers – Thomas and James McKenzie of Ripley, Ohio; many nieces, nephews and friends. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Maplewood Cemetery in Ripley, Ohio. William Carrington Jr., 73
William Andrew Carrington, Jr. of Crawfordsville, Indiana passed away Satu r d a y morning at home. He was 73. M r . Carrington served 15 years as a full-time pastor at various churches in Kentucky and Indiana. In 1985, he and his family moved to Crawfordsville and he became a customer service rep at R.R. Donnelley, retiring in 2010 with 25 years of service. He was a classical violinist, who loved music and carpentry work. Most of all, he loved his daughters and granddaughters. He attended Ohio State and the University of Cincinnati before earning a Bachelor’s Degree from Cincinnati Bible Seminary and later a Master’s Degree from Butler University. He was a member and long-time elder with the New Hope Christian Church in Crawfordsville. Born July 17, 1946 in Dayton, Ohio, he was the son of William Andrew Carrington, Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Cox Carrington. He married Carol Altman on May 22, 1971 in West Allis, Wisconsin. She survives. He is survived by his loving family, which includes: wife, Carol Carrington of Crawfordsville; two daughters, Amy Carrington and Amanda Tinoco (Antonio), both of Crawfordsville; two granddaughters, Irma Pauline and Paloma Marie Tinoco; brother, John Carrington (Robin); two nephews, Matthew and Grant Carrington. He was preceded in death by his parents. Private graveside services for the family will be at 11 AM Wednesday at the Ladoga Cemetery, led by Pastor Darrell Portwood. A “Celebration of Life“ service will be on Wednesday evening, July 1st at 7:00pm at New Hope Christian Church. This will be open to anyone who would like to attend. Sarah A. Pierce age 60 of Georgetown, Ohio passed away Friday, June 26, 2020 at the Ohio Valley Residential Services Group Home in Georgetown. She was born May 21, 1960 in Ohio, daughter of the late Macdonald Harris and Nancy Lee Shaw Pierce. Sarah was very kind hearted and sweet. Sarah is survived by her best friends and roommates, Bonnie Mechlin, Karen and Sharon A, and Georgia Diane K; her current care provider Lisa Hensley-Boggs, owner of Ohio Valley Adult Day Services and all the exceptional staff that works there, as well as her pervious care provider, Terry Miller. Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 1, 2020 from 11:00 AM 1:00 PM at the Meeker Funeral Home in Russellville. Burial will follow at the Buford Cemetery.

Hank A. Dingus Sr., age 66, of Mt. Orab, passed away Sunday, June 28, 2020. He was born April 7, 1954 in Cincinn a t i , Ohio, to mother Carolyn (nee Nort) Dingus, and his late father Fred L. Dingus. Hank is survived by his loving wife Kathy A. (nee Fields) Dingus; his caring children Hank A. (Heather) Dingus II of Milford, Ohio, Thomas J. Guthrie of Cincinnati, Ohio, Steven (Jessica Bailey) Ranson of Walton, Kentucky, and Samuel (Lindsey) Dingus of Martinsville, Ohio; his cherished grandchildren Meggan H. Dingus, Kirsten D. Guthrie, Thomas M. Guthrie, Ashley M. Guthrie, Bailey Morrison, Brayden Morrison, and Blake Morrison; his siblings Becky (James) Cooper of Mt. Betty Jo Louderback, age 89, passed away at the Ohio Valley Manor on Monday, June 29, 2 0 2 0 . She was born on April 21, 1931 in Brown C o u n t y, Ohio to the late Stanley H. and Thelma P. (nee Patton) Garrison. Betty Jo is survived by her loving sons Rick (Sherri) Louderback of Mt. Orab, Ohio, and Ronald J. Louderback of Afton, Ohio; her caring grandchildren Ryan Louderback, Whitney Louden, Gina Klein, Bradley Louderback, and Tracie Darst of Joplin, MO; her cherished great grandchildren Joshua Darst, Aubrey Louderback, Austin Louderback, Dillon Kumpf, and Molly Loudon; and her brother Jim Garrison of Cincinnati, Ohio. In addition to her parents Betty Jo was preceded in death by her husband Paul G. Louderback, one brother, and one sister. Cory A. James, 25, of Flemingsburg, passed away on Friday, June 26, 2020. Born in Brown C o u n t y, OH on January 3, 1995, he was the son of Jerry W. and Tara R. James, Jr. To know Cory was to love Cory. He had an infectious smile that could light up a room, a contagious laugh, and a heart of pure gold. Although his life was cut short he touched so many lives. His faith in God never faltered no matter what obstacles he faced. Cory is survived by his best friend, confidante, and most important person in his heart, Mamaw Sharon Doyle; Grandpa Will Doyle; his parents; his sister, Whitney Doyle; his brother, Jax James; and his sisters, Elliana James, Chloe James, Kimberley Benjamin, and Katlyn Wheeler. He is also survived by his very special aunt and uncle, Tammy and James Pelfrey; his cousins, Searra and Sabrina; his biological mother, Michelle Wheeler; his paternal grandfather, Jerry James, Sr.; his paternal great grandfather, Roy James; his close friend, Michael Jackson; along with many close aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and extended family. Mike Buchanan, age 68, passed away on Friday, June 26, 2020, from complications due to a Motorcycle Accident. He was born to the late Paul and Patricia (Eldridge) Buchanan on January 23, 1952 in Mariemont, Ohio. Mike is survived by his loving wife Zenia Buchanan; his caring children Michael (Danita) Buchanan Jr. of Georgetown, OH, Joanna Buchanan of Harrisburg, PA, and Christinia Buchanan; his cherished grandchildren Michael, Jerimiah, Bradley, Cameron, Desiree, and Darrell; and his siblings Connie Barrett of Bethel, OH, and Steve Buchanan of California. Anna McElwee, age 82, of North Fort Myers, Florida, formerly of the Hillsboro area, passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at the Gulf Coast Medical Center in Fort Myers, FL. She was born January 31, 1938 in Wilmington daughter of the late Herchell & Minnie (Riley) Humphrey. Anna owned and operated her own cleaning service in Hillsboro for over 8 years and was a member of the Hillsboro Fraternal Order of the Eagles Aerie #1161. Surviving are her daughter- Teressa McElwee, Greenfield; son- David Kier, Ft. Myers, FL; 6 grandchildren; & 4 greatgrandchildren. In addition to her parents, Anna was preceded in death by her 2 husbands- Terry McElwee & Delner Kier and 3 brothers. County Road 76 bridge replacement – Main Street (Purdy Road) in the village of Sardinia will be closed for 120 days starting at 7 a.m. on Monday, July 6. The closure is located at the bridge over White Oak Creek, between Pershing Road and Bachman Drive. Traffic will be detoured via sate Route 32 and SardiniaMowrystown Road. Estimated completion: Fall 2020 State Route 505 culvert replacement – state Route 505 between Love Road and state Route 756 will be closed starting Monday, June 29 at 7 a.m. for 60
days. Traffic will be detoured via state Route 125, state Route 221, and U.S. 52. Estimated completion: Fall 2020 State Route 125 bridge replacement at Georgetown Throughout construction, traffic will be maintained in a minimum of one, 10-foot lane in each direction. Estimated completion: Fall 2020 State Route 353 resurfacing – state Route 353 will be reduced to one lane daily from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday with traffic maintained using flaggers.
