Applicants for road patrol must be at least 21 years of age and have a current Ohio Peace Officer Basic Certification. Applicants for the Corrections Officer must be male, and at least 18 years of age or older. Applicants for the paramedic must be at least 18 years of age and hold a valid certificate to practice as a paramedic, licensed practical nurse (LPN), or registered nurse (RN) with the State of Ohio. All applicants must possess a valid Ohio operator’s license, high school diploma or G.E.D., be able to successfully complete psychological evaluation, medical examination, and polygraph examinations.
