“ Having mixed age Vertical Tutor Groups is great, it means that I knew boys in all the year groups straight away. The older boys are really friendly and helped me settle in quickly. I also know my Community Leader is there to help me if ever I need it. She is really supportive and I know I can go to her if ever I have a problem. Year 7 Pupil

Choice &
Challenge As experts in boys’ education, we use imaginative teaching and interactive learning to engage and inspire our pupils. We appreciate that every boy is different; getting to know each as an individual allows us to tailor his learning to his specific needs. Our inspirational teachers channel boys’ natural energy and enthusiasm into their learning, nurturing and developing their curiosity and creativity.
“My teachers are fantastic and really inspirational. It is because of their enthusiasm that I am going on to study English and History at A-Level.”

Joe: App Developer Studying A-levels in Computing and the Arts, with the aim to study Creative Computing at Goldsmiths University of London
“ I have been developing computer games and Apps since I was 13 years old and have had a strong link with Apple for the past 4 years, working as a tester for their new products. I have produced a number of games and Apps that have been really successful, one in particular got to No.1 on the App Listing in more than 140 countries.
I really enjoyed my time at The Forest School, my teachers and friends always gave me support when I needed it, particularly when things got tough developing my first game!

The competitive drive I gained at Forest has never let me down. Dan: Engineering & Nanotechnology Student & former Headboy Studying Electrical and Electronic Engineering with Nanotechnology at University College London
“ The Forest School gave me so many opportunities as a young person growing up. From being involved in national engineering competitions, to taking to the stage in school drama productions – the opportunities were endless!
I will always have great memories of my time at the school, it taught me so much both academically and for life. Being a Tutor Representative in earlier years and then becoming Headboy in Year 11 taught me leadership skills and gave me many experiences that I have been able to draw on in later life. Since leaving I have designed and built an educational kit for teaching electronics in developing countries that is now being widely used across Africa, I have had two Further Maths A-Level revision books published and am currently undertaking a summer research internship at Bell Laboratories. The Forest School certainly gave me the skills that I needed for University and life beyond.

Jordon: Apprentice Chef Studying at the prestigious Westminster Kingsway College and completing an Apprenticeship with South Lodge Hotel
“ I had always been interested in cooking but it was through the school cooking club that I really became interested in becoming a chef. I was encouraged by my teacher to enter a national Young Chef competition which I won; this set me on the career path to becoming a professional chef. Becoming National Young Chef Champion opened the door to meeting some amazing top chefs who enabled me to develop my career aspirations whilst still at school. The Forest School was hugely supportive, I will always be grateful for the encouragement they gave me that allowed me to follow my passion.”
I couldn’t have had better support to pursue my choice of career.
I will always be grateful to The Forest School for the support they have given me.
Marco: Golfer U16 No. 1 in England & Europe
“ I am currently the U16 Number one in England and Europe. I have been part of the England squad for two years. This year I hope to be selected for the Junior Ryder Cup and my main aim for next year is to play in the Walker Cup. I always knew I wanted to become a professional golfer, this was always my passion.
As my career developed The Forest School really understood and fully supported the time I needed to put in to pursue my golfing aspirations. I hope to turn professional in 2-3 years’ time and will always be grateful to The Forest School for the support they have given me at the start of my career.”
