MAKING OUR YEAR 7 PUPILS FEEL WELCOME

6

From the moment they arrive here at the beginning of September, we want our Year 7 pupils to feel welcome, safe and cared for. By feeling settled early on, they can begin to grasp all that we have to offer: academic, social and extracurricular.

They will be part of a vertical tutor group and we will ensure each tutor group develops as a learning family, the older pupils will act as mentors and they will be able to guide them as they progress through the Academy.

In their first week here, every Year 7 will meet their tutor, who will coach them, set goals with them and make sure they settle in well.

As parents, you will receive regular communication, so that you are fully informed about your child’s education. We will work closely with you to make sure that your child has the support they need to be successful.
