Sharing values Community Schools Trust is a small multi-academy trust with a proven track record of creating extraordinary outcomes for students from all backgrounds. Our aim is simple – to provide a first-rate education for every child, and create outstanding schools that change perceptions and expectations across whole communities. We are:
• Focused on supporting each student’s path to excellence
• Informed by the latest educational research, to constantly improve our curriculum
• Passionate about giving young people the best chance for success
If these values sound like yours, we would love hear from you. We have a talented team who will be happy to share their expertise and knowledge. But you’ll find us eager to learn too, so we can move forward together.
Forest Gate Community School has been in the top 50 schools in England and Wales for progress four years in a row.
Planning for extraordinary Curriculum planning is at the heart of our success. It’s one of the main reasons children in our schools achieve the extraordinary results they do. Teachers and students across our schools share a common understanding of what we teach, why we teach it, when and how. There is no short cut to excellent curriculum planning, but get it right and the impact on students’ learning is remarkable. It’s just one example of how we plan for success – creating systems and processes that work because students, teachers and parents see their benefit. But as well as achieving excellent results, students also feel looked-after and supported in a respectful, calm environment where everyone can thrive.
We help students achieve, on average, one grade higher than expected.
“ We have children in the third set getting Grade 9 in English.” Stacey Goyan, English Teacher

Inspiring teachers Teachers develop their careers and grow as professionals as we grow too. “The Trust is exceptionally good at recognising and appreciating talents and strengths and providing opportunities to develop our careers.” Georgia France, Head of Learning
Staff enjoy working for Community Schools Trust. Teachers tell us they value our innovative approaches to managing workload, such as shorter working weeks, a ban on retrospective book marking, and no formal lesson observations. It leaves teachers free to do what they love most – inspiring children to learn. We are informed by the latest educational research in everything we do. We invest heavily in leadership and encourage everyone to voice their ideas to make our students’ experience even better.
Working together How might joining the Community Schools Trust benefit your school? When a new school joins us, our starting point is always to learn more about their goals and aspirations, and the support they might need to reach them. We’ll help you plan for change, based on your school’s individual priorities, and support you to make change happen. We’ll share our learning and ideas, based on the latest educational research, but also learn from you too. We will then work together with a shared passion to bring about rapid progress. Because only by working together can we make our students’ experience the best it can possibly be.
“Having highly experienced individuals around me has allowed me to both discover and unlock my potential.” Rashid Benellal, Head of Physics
