We strongly encourage all students to extend their learning beyond the classroom through a variety of exciting clubs and activities designed to develop new skills and build their confidence.
Our school offers a range of community languages, giving students the chance to broaden their linguistic abilities. Additionally, students can explore their musical talents by learning to sing or play an instrument of their choice.
We provide a wide range of extra-curricular activities, including Art, Film, Textiles, Science, Homework Club, Reading Buddies, Maths, Badminton, Netball, Basketball, Trampolining, Dance and Rowing.
School trips and excursions are integral to our school experience, offering students opportunities to participate in activities such as The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award and the Brilliant Club as they progress through their education.
These enriching experiences, both within and beyond the school environment, provide our students with the cultural capital needed to develop into confident young individuals.
We provide a variety of opportunities for students to develop leadership skills and develop their personal and social growth.
One such way is through the School Council, an active group elected by peers to represent student interests. The school council works with both students and staff to address school issues and improvements, promoting student voice and student leadership.
In addition to the student council, from Year 7 onwards, pupils participate in our school community through roles such as Servite Leaders and Student Ambassadors. In the Sixth Form, students are elected to roles such as School Captain, Vice-Captain, and Prefects, forming our Senior Student Leadership team to support younger leaders.
Pupils are encouraged to engage in community service and charity events. Through leading fundraising efforts for various charities and community groups, they gain valuable insight and witness first-hand the joys of helping others. We are proud of our commitment to initiatives such as food bank collections and fundraising for organisations such as Catholic Children’s Society, The Passage, Hackney Winter Night Shelter, Girl Child Network, The Hope Foundation, and New Ways to name a few.
