Project Management PLANNING IS THE KEY TO SUCCESS The opening of a new or refurbished hotel, casino or retail outlet requires the co-ordination of a vast number of products and services. Meticulous planning and careful execution gives confidence that all components are held safely in storage, and delivered to site precisely when they are needed. Project management is a discipline that PPM Logistics takes very seriously. We collaborate with clients to develop Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as appropriate for each project. We manage and drive the SLAs and KPIs throughout the length of the supply chain, to monitor resources and take corrective action in order to give clients a desired outcome. Our established systems also allows us to provide information on your merchandise at every stage, being able to foresee potential bottlenecks and implement preventative procedures.

Warehousing INVENTORY MANAGEMENT AND CONSOLIDATION Our secure, spacious and climate controlled distribution hub receives goods from suppliers all over the world – as parcels, on pallets or in containers. Trained staff in our goods receiving department inspect incoming shipments for quantity and quality, performing either sampling or complete count checking, as determined by the client. We will check the delivery against the specifications for packing as detailed in the initial procurement contract with the suppliers. All non-compliant items are fed back to the supplier within the agreed timescale, with consequent sanctions where applicable. Once the agreed unloading or decanting processes are complete, goods are transported to an appropriate storage location. With a variety of racking configurations and shelving areas available, we are able to store articles of widely varying dimensions and weights securely. Our Warehouse Management System (WMS) takes care of the put-away process and provides real-time stock management data as items move through the warehouse, through the picking zone and to dispatch. The WMS optimises all material flows, implementing protocols such as ‘first in, first out’ (FIFO) where appropriate.
