The key objective of TKAT is to ensure that the life chances of all pupils in our schools are significantly improved as a result of our educational provision. TKAT is committed to providing outstanding teaching and learning to enable all students to meet the challenges of the twenty-first century. Truly exceptional and inspirational leadership is vital for our success and we are determined to secure only the very best headteachers to achieve this objective. Our ethos is built upon a candid and constructive collaborative approach. School to school Support TKAT prides itself on its high quality of school to school support, our commitment to continuous professional development for both teaching and support staff, our unique approach to earned autonomy for our headteachers and our hands on approach to working with and developing the schools within our academy chain. We take pride in the support that we offer and want all our students to: • be happy • be creative and innovative • achieve academic success • develop their interests and talents • be confident, independent and motivated individuals The Trust operates primarily in the South of England and our central services are organised to ensure that there is effective support to schools across the areas of Educational Support, ICT, Finance, HR, Health and Safety, and Governance. Our experienced and highly supportive educational and operational teams ensure that our schools are effectively supported.

Our leaders have drive, passion and enthusiasm for education and improving the life chances of our children. It is a given that our school leaders will be proficient in all areas of the teacher standards and fulfil the requirements of headteachers as stipulated in the current School Teachers Pay and Conditions Document.

Our Charter A charter is a set of principles and commitments. This charter sets out the commitments that TKAT will make to our academies, staff and pupils. These commitments will guide our decision making and support us all through our future development. We want our academies to be proud of their membership within TKAT, proud of the value they each add and proud of the positive impact we have on all who pass through our education system. We want our relationship to be founded on trust, openness and respect. We believe that by making these commitments to you and defining our relationship, we will continue to give every individual the best chances in life.

We recognise that clear, concise communication is paramount to our collective success and will ensure that it underpins everything we do.

support you We will make it our responsibility to understand your needs. We will offer all the support we can to help you address your needs. We will tailor our services around the common needs that exist within our academies, ensuring we are the best we can be. If we cannot meet your needs internally, we will work with you to source providers that can. We will actively promote school to school support and give you the opportunities to support others, share your best practice and work collaboratively. We will help you assess yourselves and give you the tools to help improve.

Inform you

We will take the time to listen to you, respect you and understand your views. We will strive to get things right first time; if we don’t, we want you to tell us. We will use your feedback to help us improve and will let you know when we change things in response to your feedback. Your earned autonomy will be at the heart of all our decisions and we will always show you how we have taken this into account. We will clearly explain our reasons for our actions and if we don’t agree with you will explain why. We will provide easy access to a complaints process and ensure that you are fairly treated and respected. We will always be professional and polite and will deal with any enquiries you may have as quickly as possible.
