This activity is inspired by ‘Go Away, Worry Monster’ by Brooke Graham & illustrated by Robin Tatlow-Lord.

1. Use CleverPatch™ Fabric Markers to colour in your sock. You can make your sock puppet the same colours as the worry monster, or change colours and create a unique monster! Allow to dry. 2. Draw some eyes onto coloured felt and cut out. Adult supervision is recommended when using scissors. Draw some pupils onto black felt and cut out. Use tacky glue to attach the pupils to the eyes. Allow to dry.

3. Use tacky glue to attach the eyes to your sock puppet. Make sure to put the sock onto your hand and figure out where you want the eyes to sit before you glue them on. Allow to dry. 4. Add some bright coloured buttons to your sock puppet using tacky glue. Allow to dry. 5. Your Worry Monster Sock Puppet is now ready to use during Book Week!
