Pastel Bead Macramé Bracelet
Materials:
• Macramé Cord – 2mm x 275m – 19344
• Pony Beads – Pastel – 300g Pack – 19688
• Other materials required: Scissors, a ruler and tape (optional).
1. Cut 2 x 60cm lengths of macramé cord and 1 x 80cm length. Loop the 80cm length down 10cm at one end. Tie a knot at the bottom of the loop and pull tight until the loop is about 2cm long.
2. Gather all the lengths so the tail end of the looped length and the end of the other two lengths are aligned. Tie a knot near the loop to join the lengths together. Trim the excess cord.
3. Lay the cords flat and separate the lengths. Bring the right strand over to the middle.
4. Bring the left strand over to the middle to complete the first braid row.
5. Continue braiding from right to left until you have braided 6cm of macramé cord. You may need to make the braided length shorter or longer depending on the size of your wrist.
6. Choose 3 different coloured beads. You will need 3 of each colour so you’ll have 9 beads in total. Plan your bead pattern by laying them out in a row.
7. Thread your first bead onto the right strand. Move the right strand over to the middle then push the bead up to the centre of the braid.
8. Use your index finger and thumb to hold the bead in place. With your other hand, bring the left strand over to the middle to secure the bead.

10. After you thread on your last continue braiding. Check the length of the bracelet will wrap around your wrist nicely. You may need to braid further if the loop doesn’t reach the other side of the braid.
You could even make two matching bracelets – one for you and one for Mum!
