1. Cut a 60cm length of elastic. Adult supervision is recommended when using scissors. Thread your pendant onto the elastic and move it so it is in the centre. 2. Thread your beads onto one end of the elastic in any order you like. We have chosen the following: 1 x white, 2 x blue, 1 x black, 2 x green. Repeat your pattern on the opposite end of the elastic.

4. Print the template provided on page 9. Decorate using markers and cut out. 5. Place glue on the inside of the pendant, then place the coloured template on top. Press down to secure in place. Allow to dry.

You can also create your own image to place inside the pendant!

3. Continue threading the beads onto both ends of the elastic in your chosen pattern until you have at least 30 beads on each side of the pendant. Tie the ends of the elastic in a knot to secure the beads.

6. Place glue on top of the coloured template, place the glass piece over the top and press down firmly. Allow to dry. Your Torres Strait Islander Inspired Pendant Necklace is now ready to wear!
