Founders Todd Davis and Rob Brown started working together in 1994, sharing a passion for blending classic elements, superior design, and discerning tastes. Early on, this vision resulted in projects for the Clintons and the British Embassy, as well as a series of contemporary and historical renovations. Projects bring together their strengths. Brown, a colorist, develops palettes focused on balance and harmony among a room’s furnishings. Davis, meanwhile, examines the architectural framework, both from structural and aesthetic perspectives. Together, a shared love of art leads both Brown and Davis toward emerging artists, and in turn, projects integrate these pieces for a museum-like effect. As a third factor, comfort can’t be ignored: This manifests through carefully selected textures and patterns, use of light, and bespoke furnishings created in conjunction with leading artisans. When these factors converge, as seen in their Miami Beach Modern project, thoughtful fluidity connects the inside with the outdoors, while precision can be seen from furnishings and details through the building process. A longterm client for which Brown Davis had designed traditional homes in the Annapolis, Maryland, area sought to create a modern residence in Miami Beach.

or more than 50 years, Mark Weaver & Associates has designed interiors and restored homes across the United States and beyond, from luxury yachts and airplanes to historic estates in Nantucket and Santa Barbara. When one of Mark Weaver’s long-term clients and friends asked him to design another one of their properties, this time in Malibu, he was delighted to proceed. The clients envisioned an intimate modern house suited to their social beach lifestyle. To achieve this goal, Weaver and his Principal Designer Darrell Wilson decided to start from scratch, tear down the original home, and build a new structure. www.ClienteleLuxury.com | 23

“It began as a modest 1950s beach cottage, and we transformed it into a modernist, cubist statement and stunning waterfront retreat,” says Mark Weaver. The stainless-steel cladding is by Marmol Radziner while the front door art is by sculptor Jon Krawczyk. The newly designed 4,000 square-foot beachfront home features two bedrooms, two bathrooms, one gymnasium, and a beautiful patio for the client’s alfresco gatherings. Weaver’s Los Angeles background, Italian heritage, and extensive European travel all played an important role in the home, which is fresh and contemporary, while grounded by classical touches. Wilson’s architectural expertise can be seen throughout, especially in the home’s exquisite lines. The interiors feature custom-made furniture with artwork by Damien Hirst, Roy Lichtenstein, and David Hockney. A longtime supporter of the arts in Los Angeles, Mark Weaver is a founding member of MOCA, a member of the Decorative Arts and Design Council at LACMA, and a patron of the Los Angeles Opera. and Delray Beach, FL. Erin's specialty is coastal homes for families. Erin's design philosophy is based in utilizing a sophisticated use of natural materials, a refined palette and strong design elements to create warm, livable interiors. A custom designed 7500 sq ft residence on a canal in East Boca Raton. The clients, a retired couple with a growing family, wanted a welcoming family home for their children and grandchildren to

his 10,000 sq ft home is on the Eastern Bay section of the Chesapeake Bay on the tip of Kent Island, MD. The home has sweeping views of the bay including Bloody Point. This beautiful shingle style home, designed by Becker Morgan Architects and Erin Paige Pitts Interiors is a second home for a Washington DC area family. The family with 3 college age daughters is a quiet retreat from their busy life in town. The interiors were designed to compliment the views but never compete. The soft blues, creams, taupes in various shades and textures blend beautifully with the landscape. The main living room with a 2 story ceiling and large painted brick fireplace is the center of a large open plan living space with the kitchen, dining and breakfast room adjacent.
