NIAC 2001 Annual Meeting Registration We are looking forward to a successful NIAC 2001 Annual Meeting. However, security concerns at NASA Ames Research Center (ARC) make planning ahead to attend paramount as all non-NASA persons will be required to check in with Security at the ARC Main Gate and show a picture identification to obtain a temporary badge for the two-day meeting. Access to ARC will be granted based on an attendance list provided by NIAC to ARC Security of all personnel who have registered with NIAC. Failure to provide the required registration information by the respective registration deadlines contained in these instructions may result in access being denied to the ARC. To facilitate the administration and check-in process at ARC, NIAC would like for everyone to notify Brandy Egan via email of their intentions to attend the Annual Meeting. In addition, please provide the following information to brandy@niac.usra.edu regarding each individual planning to attend the meeting: Name: Affiliation: Complete Business Mailing Address: Business Phone Number: Email Address: Nationality: The respective deadline for attending the meeting is dependent on whether you are a US citizen or not. If you are a US citizen, please see (A) below. If you are not a US citizen, please see (B) below. (A) The deadline for a US citizen to register is May 25, 2001. (B) The deadline for a non-US citizen (foreign national) to register is May 1, 2001. If you have not received a confirmation of the acceptance of your registration by May 31, you should contact Brandy Egan (404-347-9633) at NIAC to confirm your status. If applicable, the following may also apply: -

If any foreign national attendee has a green card, they are required to have the green card with them at all times.

Foreign nationals who do not have green cards will require an escort at all times while on base. Representatives of some designated countries may not be admitted to NASA Ames Research Center. You should contact NIAC as soon as possible if you have any doubts or concerns about your eligibility to be admitted to Ames.


Hotel Accommodations The following hotels are near the NASA Ames Research Center. Note that three of the hotels have reserved blocks of rooms until May 22, 2001 for the NIAC Annual Meeting.
