As we approach the end of a fantastic season, we want to remind you that if you are quick, there’s still time to catch this year’s magical pantomime Aladdin, the perfect Christmas treat for all the family to enjoy!

In the new year, we are thrilled to present a huge variety of shows to see you through to the end of summer. We begin by hosting an intimate evening with one of the world’s top rugby referees, Nigel Owens MBE. For families we have some wonderful productions heading to the Redgrave, including The Smartest Giant in Town, Pinocchio, Dinosaur Adventure Live and The Snail and the Whale. Top comedy from Axel Blake, Tim Vine and Nick Mohammed; live music from Keith James, The Tiger Lillies and John Lennon’s original Quarrymen. And if that’s not enough we have international bestselling author Kate Mosse OBE, Argentine Tango King and Strictly Come Dancing legend, Vincent Simone and a whole host of fantastic musical theatre productions from our local amateur dramatic societies.

An Evening with Nigel Owens MBE

We are delighted to bring you an evening with one of the world’s top rugby referees, Nigel Owens MBE. Nigel is one of the most engaging and humorous characters in the game of rugby union and it will be an evening not to miss for any sports fan as he recounts stories from his life and career.

We Will Rock You

Set in a future where the earth is now called the iplanet and life is lived virtually. We Will Rock You tells the story of a group of Bohemians who struggle to restore the free exchange of thought and fashion, and live music in a future where everyone dresses, thinks and acts the same. Musical instruments and composers are forbidden, and rock music is all but unknown. Presented by BMYP.

Pinocchio

Steve Tiplady, as Geppetto, uses the objects of a carpenter’s workshop to tell the tale of the puppet that wants to be a real boy, and the puppet-maker who wants to be a real father. Puppetry, shadows, illusion and especially composed music combine to create a show with something for all ages; it’s inventive, visually and verbally witty with a big heart. 4+

The hugely talented Ivy Arts Youth presents the smash-hit all-singing, all-dancing romantic comedy ‘The Wedding Singer!’ The show, based on the Adam Sandler movie, takes us back to a time when hair was big, greed was good and a wedding singer might just be the coolest guy in the room! The show’s sparkling score does for the 80’s what Hairspray did for the 60’s.

Patience

While Patience traditionally satirises the aesthetic movement of the 1870s and ‘80s, our lavish production is set in the roaring twenties, where we examine the show’s core themes: superficiality, vanity, fads, hypocrisy and pretentiousness. Presented by BGSOS.

Young Frankenstein

This monster musical comedy by Mel Brooks, adapts his legendary funny film into a brilliant stage creation. Young Frankenstein has all the panache of the film with a little extra theatrical flair. Evita

The Quarrymen: In Conversation

The Quarrymen have an extraordinary and unparalleled legacy in the history of music. Formed by John Lennon and childhood friend Pete Shotton in 1956, the band and its various line-ups have contributed to the music legacy that led to the formation of The Beatles. The original Quarrymen reunited in 1997 to celebrate the anniversary of when Paul McCartney first met John Lennon. How to find us

On Foot: The Redgrave Theatre is half way along Percival Road in Clifton, opposite the junction with College Fields. It is approximately a 10 minute walk from Clifton Village and a 35 minute walk from Bristol City Centre.

By Bike: There are 4 bicycle racks in front of the Theatre. By Car: From the Downs head to College Road and take the second right onto Percival Road. The Redgrave Theatre does not have its own car park. Street parking is available on the roads surrounding the theatre. When planning your journey, please leave enough time to find a suitable parking space.

By Bus: There are two bus routes that pass near the theatre, the 8 & 9.
