SPRAWLING SOMA LOFT IN CENTRAL LOCATION 767 BRYANT ST. #203 | 2 BR / 3 BA | $2,400,000

Melody Hultgren & Elizabeth Kim

Villa Dei Fiori is a boutique live/work loft building in SOMA designed and constructed by the legacy owners of the San Francisco Flower Mart. What was once an empty lot for parking and flower truck delivery has become an artfully designed loft building with amazing views and exceptional space. As the largest home in the building, Loft #203 is an enormous space offering three levels of openness with 2 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and 3,496 sq. ft. of living space. The open-concept living area is dramatized by walls of windows on two sides with sweeping urban city and downtown skyline views. Up one flight of stairs you are in the loft bedroom with an en-suite master bathroom. The bathroom has been remodeled and features contemporary tile accents. Down one flight of stairs from the main level and you are in a huge room that could easily be a sprawling master suite or a bustling office. This space is uniquely suited for interpretation and offers many

possible uses, and there is a large full bathroom on this level as well. A balcony, in-unit laundry, 2-car parking, and storage complete the home. Perfect for an urban experience, a live/ work location, or simply a unique San Francisco home, this loft is not like any you have seen before. Create the perfect custom space with this flexible floor plan for an office or home. The center of the Villa Dei Fiori building is an open atrium built in the style of a greenhouse, something you might see in the historic Flower Mart. From the main floor you can see up 3 floors to beautiful sky or down through the “greenhouse” glass windows to view the lower floor. All lofts are accessed via the promenade, which creates an indoor/outdoor feel. When you first exit the elevator, it’s as if you are outside again, being greeted with big sky and natural light; this is truly a unique experience in the heart of SOMA.

BROTHER’S

ARSICAULT BAKERY

One of the Bay Area’s best Korean restaurants, Brother’s serves authentic Zagat-rated Korean food. They have grills embedded in most of the tables, allowing diners to cook their own marinated beef and chicken. However, Brother’s longevity (opened in 1987) and sterling reputation means long lines on most nights.

The owner of this small, unassuming bakery on Arguello began his journey with a desire to replicate the rich croissants of his childhood in France. After perfecting his own recipe, he opened Arsicault, only to see it named Bakery of the Year by Bon Appetit magazine. A rush of customers followed, leading to long lines of hungry San Franciscans. Arsicault is a must visit for pastry fanatics.

THE BITTER END

Every Sunday, a devoted group of roller skaters take over the “Skatin’ Place” at 6th and Fulton to dance, skate, listen to music, and take part in one of San Francisco’s most endearing grassroots traditions. Anyone is welcome to join in the skating, but plenty of people picnic on the side and enjoy the sun and the spectacle.

Unlike many bars in San Francisco, The Bitter End isn’t focused on complex cocktails or an upscale atmosphere. Good food, local sports, cheap drinks, and a friendly neighborhood clientele are what make this bar one of the Richmond’s best. It can get busy on game days, but its size means there is almost always space to sit and have a few beers or a Bloody Mary.

CLIMB LOVES

Here are a few of our favorite things that we know you would enjoy.

SLEEP

ESCAPE

HOTEL ZETTA is what you get when you try to imagine a hotel that combines San Francisco’s sophistication with its quirkiness. Fittingly positoned between Union Square and SOMA’s tech hubs, Hotel Zetta has plenty of upscale touches to go with its games room and local art. The in-house restaurant, Cavalier, has an odd but not unwelcome British flair, as does its lengthy cocktail bar. The hotel’s central location makes it ideal for both business trips and fun visits.

BOULDER might be the world’s prettiest college town, surrounded by the rugged beauty of the Rocky Mountain Range. Far from a sleepy town, Boulder boasts a huge range of cultural and academic events, from talks to outdoor art exhibits. The Pearl Street Mall has great shopping and live music, and there are no shortage of incredible hikes and views just a short drive from the center of town.

E AT

BAR TARTINE is a fascinating restaurant helmed by two young chefs committed to experimentation and pushing the culinary envelope. Despite this, legions of adoring San Franciscans still line up to try whatever Nick Balla and Cortney Burns have worked up on a given week. Combining Japanese, Greek, Middle Eastern, and plenty of other influences, Bar Tartine is always an adventure.

WATCH

READ COVET

THE INFORMATION is an incredible look back at the myriad social and scientific developments that led to the current state of advanced computing and communication. Tying together African drumming, semaphore, modern genetics, and the now-famous Bell Labs, James Gleick offers a gripping take on the forces that created the state of modern data technology.

STRANGER THINGS is at once deeply familiar and totally new, a unique take on the 1980’s style horrorthriller. It tells the story of the residents of a small Indiana town as they work to uncover the meaning behind the disappearance of their friend. It has plenty of emotional weight and enough elements of horror to keep you on the edge of your seat.

2016 ZERO FX MOTORCYCLE is an incredible rechargable electric motorcycle. Packing a lithium-ion battery pack, this motorcycle is not just energy efficient but also free of the many hassles that come with maintaining an internal combustion engine. The savings on gas even means it can pay for itself over time!
